koolness234 doesn't know Brazilian culture. We, sometimes, will say some words that if you translate to English it seems a homophobic expression but, in fact, we don't really mean being homophobic. LGBTQIA+ ppl here in Brazil use those words every time so ofc we are going to use them here. Please, consult a Brazilian person before you ban them for something they said in PORTUGUESE.
We literally just say b*cha all the time to our gays friends, and they call us the same thing LOL

Also maybe this is where the conversation about .Es/.br mods needs to be brought up again

gabrieltrezza true and ppl use the f w all the time and don't get banned
I think ppl has to report if they feel offended, bc sometimes they can get banned unjustly

The f word is bannable now if it was said on tengaged. That’s why i think it’s tricky cuz I personally wouldn’t ban anyone over it but also it’s not really fair we get a free pass on saying homophobic slurs cuz it’s a different language

nobody uses the f word and doesnt get banned. everyone gets banned. no matter the language or casualness of it

slice but in my case i didn't know that this word was the portuguese equivalent for the f word bc we here in brazil use it in a common and non-offensive way between us lgbtqia+ people

eu também acho que essa palavra é uma das menos piores pra você ser homofóbico, existe outra com b que é bem mais ofensiva... mas acho que aqui no brasil o que é mais ofensivo é o tom que você fala do que a palavra em si, porque nós temos essa mania de pegar as palavras "homofóbicas" e usar para nos referir a nós mesmo, igual foi no contexto que eu disse que nem foi querendo ser ofensivo e sim como se eu estivesse chamando alguém de sis... mas enfim regras são regras né

lukesaur thats how we use the F word between us gays in english girl im saying yall are no different.
Sent by Slice,Jun 4, 2021
like yall keep saying context but clearly u dont get the context of the F word in english. its the same that yall are claiming this word is to yall in portuguese. its not offensive between us either. you clearly dont get the context in english. its just not allowed plain and simple

Slice ohhh i really didn't know so sorry about that. my bad
Sent by Lukesaur,Jun 5, 2021
and i'm not being against the prohibition of the word.. like if the f word is prohibited all variants in other languages must also be. i'm just saying that i didn't mean to be offensive and i really just posted a copypasta that had that word and it wasn't meant to offend anyone either.... i think the whole situation has been resolved and i will no longer use that word here
Sent by Lukesaur,Jun 5, 2021
lukesaur i totally get that!!! i have no issues with like you saying you shouldn't have been banned or anything and i personally don't even like the rule. i agree. just stating that our culture surrounding that word is very similar!
