How is there so much death in a show about doctors who are literally supposed to prevent that from happening

It's all for the drama - they need characters to die pretty much every episode to create sympothy, characters need to be killed off for many reasons, and most of the cast dies from tragic accidents that have nothing to deal with real life I just got sick issues
