16. Afrojack X Jewelz & Sparks - Switch (ft. Emmalyn) // Sent by Alexeh23
TSC 375 - 1st place, 98 points (3 points given)
I can't believe that I only gave this 3 points.
Despite being firmly #TeamDuskyGrey at the time of the contest, I've SWITCHED allegiances. I think my original criticism of Switch was that it lacked any real substance during the verses, which is nonsense. But to my credit I always thought the chorus was fire, WHICH IT STILL IS. The whole experience is magical and I'm a better person for having heard it.
15. Dotan - Numb // Sent by Alexito
TSC 357 - 5th place, 91 points (10 points given)
This is how you do a male ballad right. It combines meaningful lyrics, a powerful vocal, and a banging chorus to produce perfection. Male ballad perfection. Numb is a haunting track, and probably deserved to win over all of your favourite pop girls.
14. Naïka - Oh Mama // Sent by Catch_a_falling_star
TSC 363 - 1st place, 126 points (8 points given)
Is there a bad song called 'Oh Mama'? Why isn't this song talked about more? How is it possible that the person who gave us Shingai also gave us Naika and Lea Rue?
SO MANY QUESTIONS.
But in all honesty, I feel like Oh Mama is underrated as a winner. It's seriously one of the best winners of the year, possibly ever. It has a Caribbean vibe, while still sounding like a chart-friendly European pop song. Naika is transcontinental, and her sound reflects that (I'm starting to sound a lot like wiwibloggs).
13. Ashley O - On a Roll // Sent by DanielKennedy111
TSC 357 - 2nd place, 145 points (12 points given)
Ashley O overcoming all of her haters to share a top two finish with Dagny was a powerful moment. #TSCMomentOfTheDecade
The magic of On a Roll has worn off, but it's still an extremely addictive pop song. I couldn't get enough of it for the longest time.
