LYRA has produced some of the strongest ballads of the year. The cinematic production is excellent, and she has unique vocal styling as well. I don't understand how this didn't score higher. It's the complete package as far as ballads are concerned.
35. Ben Hazlewood - Drive On // Sent by Alexito

Alexito knows how to do a male song justice. I think Steve mentioned this in his countdown, but the fact that a song performed by an unknown male artist managed to place 4th in such a *stacked* contest is a testament to how strong Drive On is. The chorus is absolutely killer. This was a fantastic find.
34. Tinashe - Die A Little Bit // Sent by PennyTrationStan

DRINK. SMOKE. DANCE. VIBE. A LITTLE BIT. FUCK.
This, along with #33, are my newest obsessions. I can't tell whether recency bias is at play here, but there's no denying that Tinashe kills it EVERY time. Give me a few months and this could go as high as top 10 for me. The only thing about it that I dislike is the literal CHILD in the background. I don't understand why they didn't remove that in the official audio version. But other than that, it's perfection.
33. ANTONIA - Touch Me // Sent by Talian
TSC 378 - 5th place, 88 points (8 points given)
This and Tinashe come as a package deal. I can't have one without the other. Both songs make me want to take my clothes off. Is it possible for a song to be *too* sexy, because Touch Me might have that problem? Again, you can blame this song's placement on recency bias, but if that were seriously the case this would be in my top 5. It very well might be by the end of the year. Touch Me is an underrated, sly BOP.
