I like Arcade but don't get winner vibes from it like everyone else does. Also the lyrics don't make sense to me??
I'm really hoping I'm able to stan Macedonia again this year and they finally have a song that can qualify, as I'm still mourning Dance Alone and Lost and Found (studio versions, live performances can go)
MyMilkshakes I'm so glad Switzerland went down the dance route. The Luca Hanni rumours made me happy but I was scared the song would be a MOR guitar song. I'm glad it isn't. Switzerland SHOULD be a safe qualifier this year.
I LOOOOOOOVE Arcade. I haven't looked into the lyrics but I've heard that the song is about his friend who passed away at a young age. I was expecting to be disappointed because I was emotionally attached to the demo version of I Miss You, but I still got winner tingles TBH!
Serhat's song isn't totally my thing but I get why people like it. I'm glad to have it in this years lineup.
Also, I'm not sure what to expect from Tamara. Given the song theme (female empowerment), I assume it's going to be ballad-esque. Maybe a power ballad. Regardless, I have a good feeling about it.
Patrick319 As long as Switzerland doesn't ruin their staging (2017) I'm sure they'll be a comfortable qualifier. Especially since there seems to be a lack of contemporary male pop songs this year. If they just follow the MV I'm sure they'll be good
And I just looked into the lyrics and I can definitely see that. I still don't really understand the metaphor of the arcade still but I am terrible at analyzing any lyrics. Duncan is right outside my top 5 right now, and if he can stop Russia for winning I will be full on team Netherlands
And Macedonia has gone so hard in studio versions that I'm also hopeful, and I'm even more excited since we KNOW Tamara can actually hold a note. Let's just hope they don't give a great vocalist a subpar song a la Kaliopi 2016 :))
