In my original prediction I had 8/10 qualifiers correct but tonight I got 7/10 correct on my revised prediction. Also 8/10 of my personal top 10 advanced.
That was without a doubt the toughest semi-final I've watched. Ten incredible songs qualified, but we also had a lot of great songs miss out. I think countries like Belgium, Armenia and Azerbaijan all would have qualified in a normal year but this semi-final was NOT normal. The songs were significantly above average.
I feel really sad for Greece but the staging was dull for such an epic-sounding song. I originally had Greece as third most likely qualifier due to all of their friends voting in the semi but even THAT couldn't save them.
I'm *most* surprised about Albania and Ireland. I always said that Eugent DESERVED to qualify, but I never expected him to actually do it. Ireland was surprising because I thought it would get totally overshadowed by Cyprus. Also because I was so certain that Lithuania was qualifying I thought that would be more reason for Ireland to miss out.
I am MOST happy for Finland. People have been calling Saara a non-qualifier for WEEKS because of one bad UMK performance. She absolutely killed it tonight and was such a deserving finalist.
On the other hand I'm most upset for Switzerland I think. Their performance was stellar. It felt like THEIR concert. I think they may have been the 11th placed act. I thought Armenia was exceptional tonight as well and that they would actually qualify over Austria.

Switzerland really were robbed :( Their name is always their downfall it seems, because they always deserve to do better than they actually do
