Who are y'alls top 3 horror movie final girls? I think mine would be
1. Nancy Thompson (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
2. Tina Shepard (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood)
And then the third spot is tricky. The obvious answer would be Ellen Ripley since she's probably my favorite horror movie character of all time and a top 10 fictional character for me in any medium, but Alien isn't really a traditional slasher movie and I mostly love her for Aliens, which is even less traditional than Alien. So idk if I can rightfully include her if she's not a traditional final girl in the movie I love her for most. Rosemary Wodehouse, Wendy Torrance and Clarice Starling are also horror movie heroines I love but aren't really final girls per se. I like Laurie Strode and Sydney Prescott but not enough for top 3. Alice Hardy and the other F13 girls don't really do it for me. Sally Hardesty probably goes through the most epic final girl sequence of all time but is hardly a character with discernible personality traits in her own right. And there's a bunch of other iconic ones like Jess Bradford but eh. So I guess I'll go with
3. Ellen Ripely (Alien/Aliens)
even though the jury is out on whether or not she's truly a final girl in the traditional sense.
