I'm asking this, not as a mod, but as a player on this site.
Do you think this site would be better if there was NO moderation at all? Like, everyone could make as many accounts as they wanted and say whatever they wanted to people.
My biggest concern would be cheating... A lot of why I haven't played in so long is because I just know everyone's on Teamviewer, using proxies to play under multiple accounts, inventing "cousins who move in due to family problems," cheat engines, etc.... Like, I feel like it's really hard to find a fair game, but I don't know what could be done about that. Mods can only do so much...
Anyway, what are your thoughts? This isn't about bashing mods, it's about a hypothetical situation in which this site was a total free-for-all.
No. Moderation is actually needed. HOWEVER...good moderation. If you ain't going to do the job right then let somebody else take that position. Cause trust me, there's MANY people who wouldn't mind being a mod. And I'm sure they can do a hell of a better job. cough when je was mod cough
If everyone stopped putting their PERSONAL INFORMATION out there would be no problems and we wouldn't need MODS for the bullying part of this website :). Then no one would feel personally attacked. Then no one would be banned unfairly :)
FIRST OF ALL, If you want a picture of me and Beast together in the same household, we can send you one. I don't care enough about this site to make up that big of a lie for someone to do my challenges. And BTW if you look at my record, you would see:
A. I barely ever play.
B. My record sucks!
And BTW the mods KNOW we share an IP...we -50 her all the time.
So don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong next time...

And we need more mods, people need help and there is only 2-5 mods to help. Well there never online. we need active mods

I know people cheat on competitions all the time but I just stick to Fastings when I even bother to play games these days anyway -shrug-

The site needs moderation, we just need more active and less-biased moderation. People get banned for saying they don't like a country, while other people walk around making blogs about how America deserves terrorist attacks and don't get banned... What the actual fuck is wrong with some of ya'lls logic? :|
I think you would lose a lot of the people on here if there was no moderation :/
Insults, homophobic language, porn, bullying, it would be everywhere.
It seems the best mods are those who dont tell they are mods. Its those who do their job because they like it but dont advertise it all across the site. It adds too much pressure.

LMFAO oh my god please no. This place is already messy WITH moderation, there's enough harassment and bullying going on as it is. It would turn for the worse and become an even shittier place for sure if there was no moderation.
For sure there needs to be changes and we need a way better moderation system, but I can't imagine having no moderation at all. I'd rather have shitty moderation than none at all.
nah i like having the mods cause some ppl really do say and do things that they shouldnt and it's good that they get a time out. After all most ppl here are not adults yet and as children when u do something wrong u should get time outs lol
Some ppl probably do take advantage of the mods though and report ppl for the stupidest or things .
Lastly I think if there are going to be mods they should be consistent with their bannings cause some ppl get banned for certain things while others dont and then when ppl make blogs and complain about the unfair banning the bannings are shortens. I think if u ban someone you should stick with the banning or dont do it at all LOL... You cant let ppl bully u into doing what they want! Also a good prevention for banning ppl unfairly would be not allowing mods to ban a person by themselves unless they posted porn but consult with another mod before doing it that would be nice too LOL
Without mods, there is absolutely no order. If anything, I think mods need to be a little more strict on what is said and not said. There are 13 year old children on this sight, and if I ever had a child that age, I wouldn't want to them to be on a website where people can use certain words freely.
If people have to resort to calling other people names, then they clearly don't understand how to win a good argument. I think it would be nice if there was a group of like, 5 or 7 really active mods and they all voted on whether or not someone deserves a ban. That way, there can be no complaints about someone being biased. Almost like a Supreme Court of Tengaged.
There is a survivor tribe where 6 people were banned for doing each others challenges. They were each vented for 2 days, that's it.
If cheating on challenges is to stop, we can't just give "slap on the wrist" punishments to the people that are caught, it needs to be a bit harsher, like 7 days, 2 weeks, then a perm ban.
I don't think that we should get rid of mods, but I think the rules need to be changed...Some of the rules in my opinion are kind of awkward ;S
Mods get less credit than deserved and people aren't happy...
Tengaged would be ruined without mods though LOL
If we are to have underaged people on this site then we need the moderation before this turns nsfw. It would be really cool to have freedom to do what you want though. I also think we should have some more mature moderators who know what they are doing and know what's fair etc.
the site needs mods imo. they cnt solve every problem people have. especially because they need proof of something to ban some1, not just a theory. They try their hardest to keep the site fair
I think we do need mods. This site would be awful without them, but it seems like all mods have different limits and can sometimes be unfair. I think some of the bans need changing and more mods need to be added to the team so tmod becomes more active!
We need moderation, but we need new rules and new mods.
Considering I don't think any barely do their job, and some ban for reasons that aren't even considered bannable.
We need a rule update.
