Easily the best on the Manic. It's just so fucking good! It's just pure excellence! Everything flows so smoothly and it hits hard and Halsey sounds amazing and it doesn't lose any momentum for a single second. It just keeps growing as the song goes on and it's literally a song I could see being my favorite of her entire discography when I listen through all her stuff. I actually enjoy the little clip at the end of her manager(?) congratulating her on the end of the line cause it humanizes Halsey and brings some humane qualities to the song. This song, though, is very pop-rock and it's done to perfection. It's just so catchy. As a person, I'm not huge into Halsey, but the girl knows how to crank out a bop from time to time and she really went into overload here!

I remember when the tracklist came out for Ariana's album and I saw Doja and I was like queen. I saw The Weeknd and I was like king. I saw Ty Dolla $ign and was like hmm....probably a skip, but wow I was wrong. This is actually, by far, my favorite collab on the album and honestly one of my favorites of all-time in her discography. I mean Ty actually sounds good here. Didn't know he had a singing voice on him, but he does and it sounds great on this track, especially with Ariana. The whole track is amazing and flows perfectly and is very catchy, but let's be real...if you've heard this song before, you know what the star-moment of this song is: the bridge. Holy fucking shit I lose my mind whenever that part happens! It literally is angelic...heavenly...literally sent from God herself! I just-- I-- Like I--....but like seriously I--!?!?!? Ariana sounds so beautiful holy shit! And when Ty comes in during the second half of the bridge to harmonize!?!?!? Sent my whole body to another planet! It's gorgeous!

Bet you didn't think Neon Trees was still making music. Well they are and, I hate to break it to you, but this undiscovered gem is better than all their big hits (Animal, Everybody Talks, Sleeping With A Friend) combined! It's pop-rock perfection. I know I said that about 3am, and it's true, but I put this above 3am for a reason. Tyler (the lead singer) just sounds amazing on this track and, unlike 3am, this song has such a nostalgia feel to it. Like seriously it takes me back to the late 00s/early 10s and that's, like, some of my favorite music ever! I'm so fucking happy I found this hidden gem and if you're reading this and you've never heard of this song, you're welcome for exposing the gem to you.
#13 - Boss Bitch - Doja Cat
This is Doja Cat's second entry on my year-end rankings. This is her highest placing song so far! Will she be able to beat it later on this year?
I mean...duh. Literally Doja's best single ever and it'll be hard to ever top it. Like, this song deserved so much more. I truly feel that if COVID never happened and the Harley Quinn movie this is from got the full-run at the theaters rather than only a week or two before the shutdown, that this would've blown up. Like it did blow up, obviously, cause it has 200M+ views on YouTube and did chart on the Hot 100 (barely </3), but it could've pulled in so much more! Happy it got huge on Tik Tok challenges apparently though. Here's the thing about this song: I literally can (and have) listen to this song on repeat, like, 10-15 times and I won't get bored at all. That's how you know you have a good song. My literal only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Only 2:14 is not enough! But Doja gives it her all for all 134 seconds! The production and lyrics and execution and vocals and EVERYTHING is just so addicting and masterfully done! This song literally makes you feel like a boss, a bitch, and a boss bitch (that shines like gloss). Also, side-note, but Doja looks STUNNING in the music video (but when does she not?!)!!! Love the music video! Gimme those rapid camera angle changes cameraman #3!!!
