Since I had so much time in quarantine, I listened to way more projects than usual, 40 to be exact. Most are albums, but there's 2 or 3 EPs in there so I thought it'd be fun to rank them!
#28 is.......zer0 - Krewella
Highlights - Throwback to Krewella's smash one-hit wonder "Alive" back in 2012! Loved that song that, when I saw they released a new album this year, I had to look it up. The result? An actually okay/goodish album. The standout here? Good On You! It's unfortunate that it was released within the last two weeks of 2019 or else it would've qualified for my top 100 songs of 2020. Even though I love Krewella as an EDM artist, the real star of the song is the feature artist Nucleya. Her vocals are so infectious when she does the "ee-ii-ee-ii-iii" and "me and you-oou-ooooou". So good! Ghost is also really good too, as well, but again it was released in 2019. All the standouts were 2019-exclusive...rip.
Lowlights - The lowlights weren't too low here. Mana has a cool beat and cool vocals and is actually a pretty good song.......until the final minute. The final minute of the song is literally some of the worst music I heard in 2020...but I still can't deny that I really enjoyed the first two minutes. It's a very mixed song for me, leaning more negatively. Like We is the lowest point on the album, though, for me. The title is so stupid especially with it's usage in the song. This song is lower than Mana cause I didn't like any part of the song. Mana definitely has the lowest low on the album, but Like We is consistently meh. Not the good meh that'll give you yellow...no...the bad meh where it's like nothing clicks and I get super bored and I don't like listening to the song at all, hence the orange rating and why it's the lowest.
