Since I had so much time in quarantine, I listened to way more projects than usual, 40 to be exact. Most are albums, but there's 2 or 3 EPs in there so I thought it'd be fun to rank them!
#32 is.......Confetti - Little Mix
Highlights - Definitely My Love Won't Let You Down! It was on my top 100 songs of 2020 a couple updates ago! It's just such a beautiful song that highlights their vocals and is something that I could emotionally relate to. It was simply beautiful. Beyond that, Break Up Song honestly is an honorable mention for my top 100 of 2020 cause it straight up was, like, 101 or 102. It just missed the cut. Break Up Song is just a fun single from this album with a fun music video and I just really enjoyed it! It flows well and I definitely bop my head. It just suffered from me not getting enough time to listen to and enjoy it. Fun song!
Lowlights - I get what they're going for with Confetti, the song, but it's one of my least favorite title tracks of 2020. The production is just very distracting and I hate it and it just ruins any chance of this song being good. The verses production is already horrible and yet they find a way to have the chorus production be even worse LMAO. Even if you took it all away, though, the girls' voices just don't do it for me in this song either. My least favorite song from the album, though, is Not A Pop Song. Right when I saw the tracklist for the album, I just had a feeling this song would be my least favorite cause it's such a cringe title. The chorus is just so bad that I can't even get through the entire song. It's not ear-deafening, but it's so bad and the shouting at the end of the chorus is so cringey. The pre-chorus, though, is my least favorite area. The staccato vocals obviously make it sound choppy cause that's what staccato does, but it doesn't fit at all and just sounds really bad. It's a cringey and bad song.
