Ellie was so underrated this past year. I heard zero rumbling on her album and didn't even know she released one until months later, but when I listened to it, I found some amazing songs. This is one of them. I love a good ballad where the vocals and lyrics carry the song and both are able to keep the song interesting throughout. I immediately am able to connect to Ellie and the lyrics in this song and it's just such a beautiful song.

Literally queens! Throwback to Potential Breakup Song (and the recent explicit re-release)! This is another TSC song and it's one I entered! It means a lot to me, though, because this was the song that won me my first ever contest in TSC! Won TSC403! Periodt! So, because of that, this song just means so much to me! It's a song that, whenever I listen to it, I feel achieved. Even if I lost, though, this song would probably be on this list although a bit lower just because it's still such a good song! The power these ladies exude in their vocals...we stan!

Sadly, I discovered Teeth in February 2020, too late for my 2019 year-end rankings which were already finished by then, but once I fell in love with Teeth, I decided to check 5SOS out and their album this year was pretty good actually. Even submitted them for a TSC competition and did pretty well. This is the intro for the album and, admittedly, at first, I liked it but I wasn't crazy on it, but this is one of the biggest growers of the year for me. It's just such a great opener and it gets better as the song goes on. The bridge is such a good hype build going into the final chorus! Love it!

This has grown on me so much and I'm just so happy CxH chose to release it as a single cause it deserves the title of being a single! The pre-chorus and chorus are just so fucking catchy! The vocals are so fierce and go with the song perfectly! I was always hesitant to check CxH out cause I didn't think I'd enjoy their genre of music, but I'm so happy I did because they have multiple bops and this is one of them! I hope they continue to blow up and I can't wait for Halle to slay in The Little Mermaid!
