The chefs wake up bright and early for their challenge. However... they are taken out of Hell’s Kitchen and are taken to a small grocery store where they meet with Chef Ramsay
Chef Ramsay: Good morning everyone!
Everyone: Good morning chef!
Chef Ramsay: Today, I’m going to be giving you a budget to cook with! Each team will have to buy their ingredients from this grocery store with a budget of only $40. You all will be cooking individually, with an exception of 2 people from the Blue Team working together since they have more members. Go ahead and get the ingredients you need, and I’ll meet you all back in Hell’s Kitchen!
The chefs then try to get as many ingredients as possible while staying in their budget.
They then return to Hell’s Kitchen to cook their dishes. When all dishes are ready to be served, Chef Ramsay reveals how the dishes will be judged.
Chef Ramsay: I’ve invited 2 special guest judges to taste your dishes today. We will not be judging based off of taste and presentation alone, but off of the quality of the dish altogether. We will all choose a price that we would pay for the dish, and the average price between the three of use will be added to your team’s score. The team with the highest score wins.
Up first is Marjorie. The judges say it’s a delicious dish that looks elegant.

Chef Ramsay: Blue Team! I’ve got a great reward for you today! I’m gonna give you another budget... and this budget is meant to be spent on yourselves! I’m giving you $3,000 dollars to spend at one of the local malls in Los Angeles, and I’d like for you to pamper yourself with it in whatever way you see fit! Get changed, you leave in just a few minutes!
The Blue Team goes upstairs to get dressed for their day of shopping.
Chef Ramsay: Red Team... are you cursed? You used to dominate the challenges... and now YOU’RE the ones being dominated. For your punishment, I need you to sort all of the money we have received so far in Hell’s Kitchen. In my office, you’ll find bags full of money collected from diners. I need you all to sort the one dollar bills, the five dollar bills, the ten dollar bills, and so on. The same goes for coins too. Go upstairs, I’ll call you to my office shortly.
The Blue Team enjoys their day shopping while the Red Team spends the day sorting money.

Marjorie only makes one soupy risotto and bounces back for the rest of the night. The same goes with Veronica.
As entrees are ordered, the Garnish stations have some issues. Kinsington’s forgets to serve one of his garnishes while Assi has had 3 communication issues.
James: How long on garnish?
Assi: ...
James: ASSI!
Assi: Oh! Uh...
Chef Ramsay: Madam, that’s the fourth time in a row you’ve ignored your team!
Assi: Sorry chef, I was distracted! It’ll take another 5 minutes!
Chef Ramsay: Distracted? Fucking hell...
On the fish stations, James forgets to season his salmon, but doesn’t make another mistake. Merk and Donald, however, are making more mistakes.
Chef Ramsay: Hey, Tweedle Dee! Tweedle Dumb! Both of you, look at that. 2 raw salmon and 2 servings of fucking scallops! Who made these?
Donald: I made the scallops. Merk made the salmon.
Chef Ramsay: Oh yeah? Well look at this! These scallops are cooked perfectly... but they aren’t SEARED! COME ON YOU DONUT!
On meat, Opal sends in 3 raw servings of Wellington. Crystal sends in one overcooked rack of lamb and Vincent...
Chef Ramsay: Vincent! Look at this! 2 overcooked wellingtons!
Vincent: Sorry chef, I’ll fire 2 more right away!
Chef Ramsay: Oh no, take your time! It’s not like there are diners out there who have been waiting for their food for ages!
Vincent is quick to fix his mistake.
After all these mistakes, both kitchens manage to finish strong. Chef Ramsay meets with them afterward.
Chef Ramsay: Well... that was the best service I’ve seen from both kitchens so far. However... there was still plenty of room for improvement. Tonight, there was one kitchen that pulled it together slightly better than the other. And that team is...

The Red Team. Blue Team, you all had a mistake or two at some point tonight. I need you to go up to the dorms, have a chat, and come up with 2 individuals you’d be better off without.
The chef then head up to the dorms and the Blue Team begins to discuss who should be nominated.
They agree that they’re gonna put Donald up there, but they don’t know whether his Station partner Merk should join him or if Vincent should go up because of his poor performance on meat.
The team argues, but they eventually reach a decision.

The Blue Team meets with Chef Ramsay while the Red Team watches.
Chef Ramsay: Blue Team... have you reached a decision?
Everyone: Yes chef.
Chef Ramsay: Crystal... who is the first nominee and why?
Crystal: Donald, chef. He didn’t know how to make scallops tonight.
Chef Ramsay: Second nominee and why?
Crystal: Uh...

Donald then walks up to Chef Ramsay and takes his jacket off.
Chef Ramsay: Young man... you used to be one of the most consistent chefs on the Blue Team. Over these past few services, you’ve become one of the most inconsistent. When you allow yourself to sink that far and show no fight back, you’re showing me that you’ve given up. Goodnight.
Donald then shakes Chef Ramsay’s hand and leaves Hell’s Kitchen.
Chef Ramsay: I do believe that I have the best 10 chefs here. And with your services getting better... I want to see my belief come true. I know that you all have passion... use it in every service. Is that clear?
Everyone: Yes chef!
Chef Ramsay: Get out of here.
The chefs then head off for bed.
As Chef Ramsay walks up to his office, his voice narrates the scene.
“Donald showed me consistency early on in this competition. Unfortunately, he couldn’t show me that same consistency tonight, so I showed him the door.”
Chef Ramsay hands Donald’s jacket, and his picture burns up.
