Which of our tributes will be killed today? Let’s find out.
-A Morning Hunt-
The girls alliance has woken up bright and early to begin hunting for male tributes, being careful to avoid any traps set out in front of them.
Chloe: We might want to check the greenhouses... there’s a high probability that other tributes would decide to hide there for the night.
Janelle: That’s a great idea! Let’s check the greenhouses.
The girls then begin checking the greenhouses. After checking a few, they find nothing.
Marie: So now what? Do we check another greenhouse?
Gretchen: We’ve been checking all the greenhouses in the area! All we’re finding are vines and dead plants. This is hopeless.
Janelle: Guys, don’t give up hope! They have to show up eventually, right? Let’s just—
Suddenly, they’re interrupted by Valerie screaming.
Valerie: Oh my god, something moved!!! Right there!
The girls then see a pile of vines moving slightly. They look scared at first... but then Chloe realizes it isn’t dangerous.
Chloe: Guys... those vines aren’t attached to anything. The vines aren’t moving... something under it is.
Without thinking, Gretchen decides to throw a spear into the pile of vines. They hear a cry of pain.
The girls are started at the noise, but then Janelle begins to pull away the vines. Eventually, she can make out a face.
It’s Calvin.
Janelle: Ladies... we found our first victim!
The girls cheer. All but one of them looks thrilled.
Calvin tries to push Janelle away, but she is still able to sickle his throat with ease. Calvin slowly chokes to death.
BOOM!
After hearing Calvin’s canon, the girls alliance looks as thrilled as a standard career pack. Well... all but one of them. One of them looks like she isn’t enjoying this at all.
Sarah has remained quiet during the entire killing. She knows that she’s not the person to celebrate someone’s death, and this isn’t the way she thought the hunger games would be.
She tries to look to the side to ignore the sight of Calvin’s body, but then she notices something.
In the window, she can see something moving.
Sarah: Guys... I think I saw someone outside.
Chloe: It was probably just another vine from one of those man eating plants. We can check it out in a moment.
But Sarah clearly doesn’t want to wait for the rest of the girls. She wants to get as far away from them as possible.
Sneaking away undetected, she exits the greenhouse to follow the movement she noticed.
She walks for quite some time... until she sees a figure wearing all black.
It’s Anon.
Anon suddenly discovers that Sarah has found him. Knowing she’s part of the girl’s alliance, he is startled and pulls out one of his axes.
However, he can also see that Sarah doesn’t look like she wants to hurt him at all.
Sarah: Please put that down... I’m not here to hurt you.
Anon: W-what?
Sarah: The girls alliance is in that greenhouse. If they know you’re here, they’ll kill you.
Anon: Are... are you trying to help me?
Sarah: More than that... I thought maybe we could work together.
Anon: Wait, I... I’m not...
Sarah: Look, I’m not like them! I don’t want to kill every boy I come across! I thought the alliance was a good idea, but they’re insane! I don’t want to align with them... please!
Anon is clearly confused. Before he can say anything, he and Sarah can hear footsteps coming closer.
Sarah: They’re coming!
Anon: Crap... come on, let’s go!
Sarah: Wait... so—
Anon: We’ll talk about it later, let’s get out of here!
The two then run off together into the garden. The girls alliance isn’t able to track them down. They currently have no idea about what happened to Sarah.
-Splitting a Family Apart-
William and Krista have not left each other’s side since the beginning of the games. They both are walking through the garden discussing the circumstances with each other.
Krista: Do you think there are dangerous plants in this big garden?
William: I dunno... could be a possibility. That’s why we should both be extremely careful.
Krista: Hey... what happens if we’re the final 2?
William: Well... then I’ll sacrifice myself so you can win.
Krista: What? No! That’s crazy!
William: Krista... I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if you died and I lived. I’ve taught you so much... I want that to matter. If I die, I want you to—
Suddenly, a knife is thrown into his neck.
Krista looks in shock at the waterfall of blood coming from her brother’s throat.
Suddenly, she sees Clanos standing behind him.
Clanos looks like he’s having the time of his life... and is about to throw another knife.
As he throws it, William pushes his sister out of the way, and the knife hits his head. This officially kills him.
BOOM!
Krista runs as fast as she can. Clanos tries to hunt for her, but he is unsuccessful and loses her.
Krista is still having trouble processing the fact that her brother is dead, and the cruel way he was taken from her.
Krista then knows... she needs to avenge him.
She looks around. She notices a figure in the distance. It isn’t Clanos.
It’s Cam.
Krista then looks in her other direction. She notices a group of girls.
She then gets an idea.
-A New Ally-
The girls alliance has settled down for the night inside of another greenhouse. They are all talking with each other.
Gretchen: What do you think happened to Sarah?
Chloe: Honestly... I don’t know.
Janelle: We can look for her... but we should also be thinking about looking for the remaining boys.
Valerie: Why? We only found one of them today... and then one of us went missing afterward!
Chloe: Yeah... I think it’s probably smarter if we just hunt for any tributes.
Janelle: Guys... we need to kill the men first. The girls should live.
Valerie: Why though?! Why are we only targeting the me—
Suddenly, an arrow flies into Valerie’s skull.
BOOM!
Everyone is shocked to see Valerie fall to the ground... but then they see someone in the doorway.
It’s Alex.
Alex is holding a bow and arrow, and is preparing to attack again. Marie tries to run up to him, but he takes one of his arrows and stabs her in the shoulder with it. She falls to the ground.
Gretchen attempts to throw a spear at him, but he dodges it and shoots one of his arrows at her. She is able to dodge it, but it comes incredibly close to hitting her eye.
Alex looks like he has the upper hand... but suddenly, his throat is slashed from behind.
Alex drops his bow and arrow, and looks behind him to see Krista. He then drops to the ground dead.
BOOM!
The girls alliance doesn’t really feel threatened by Krista... they even get a sense of trust for her. Krista begins to speak out.
Krista: I want to join this girls alliance. The boys in this arena are extremely violent and impulsive, and they... they killed my brother. Therefore, I want to help you kill them all to avenge his death.
The girls stare at Krista for a moment.
Janelle: Good... we need all the help we can get.
Janelle then stands next to her and stares at her allies. She points at Alex’s dead body.
Janelle: THAT is why we’re targeting the men. This boy was able to kill one of us, and injure another by surprise. The boys think the women aren’t a challenge for them... but when we’re working together, we can easily overpower all of them. This is why we don’t kill the other girls. At least not until all of the men are dead.
The other girls cheer after Janelle’s convincing speech.
Suddenly, the fallen tributes are projected in the sky.
The Girl from District 6
The Boy from District 8
The Boy from District 10
The Boy from District 11
Chloe: There are only 3 men left... and Sarah’s still alive.
Marie: How are we even gonna find them?
Krista: Oh, don’t worry. I know someone who’ll lead us right to them.
Krista then steps outside and comes back holding someone who appears to be tied up. She throws her hostage on the ground.
The girls look to see Cam tied up in rope, looking terrified.
