Chef Ramsay: Good morning, everyone!
Everyone: Good morning chef!
Chef Ramsay: For today’s challenge... I’m going to let you make whatever you want.
Everyone looks confused.
Chef Ramsay: I’m serious. You can make me anything. Oh, and one more thing... this will be your first individual challenge.
Everyone now looks excited.
Chef Ramsay: All of you will be making me a dish of your choosing, and then I will judge all 7 dishes. The chef who has made the best dish will win the challenge for their team. While this will still be a “team” challenge, the chef with the best dish will win a reward for his or herself. The chef who wins the challenge...

will be SAFE from elimination tonight! So, there’s a lot at stake! I want to see the best out of all of you, your 45 minutes start... NOW!
The chefs then begin making their dishes. They all want to earn safety tonight, considering that Black Jackets are supposed to be handed out.
Eventually, all of the dishes are ready to be presented.
Chef Ramsay will have the chef with the best dish sit in a throne. As more dishes are presented, Chef Ramsay will decide if the dish he just tasted is enough to dethrone the current chef in the throne. Whoever is in the throne at the end of the challenge will be the winner.
Up first to present is Candy, who has made her own version of salmon.
Chef Ramsay: It could use a LITTLE more seasoning... other than that it’s flawless. Beautifully cooked and plated, tastes great... Candy, please take a seat in the throne.
Candy then sits in the throne. Up next to present is Jake, who has made his version of a crusted chicken breast.
Chef Ramsay: It’s cooked beautifully. It’s god great flavor, and it looks stunning. But is it better than Candy’s? Hmm... Jake.

It IS better. Take a seat in the throne.
Jake has dethroned Candy and is now the current champion. Kourtney is next to present with her twist on scallops.
Chef Ramsay: Oh my god... look at that. They’re raw. I was expecting something better, especially from you. You will not be dethroning Jake.
With Jake still in the throne, Pierre is next to present with a re-attempt at his signature dish, bouillabaisse.
Chef Ramsay: Wow... everything is cooked beautifully this time. For me, this dish represents how much you’ve grown throughout this competition. You redeemed your signature dish with this plate. But is it better than Jake’s?

Pierre is now the reigning champion as Europe is next to present with her own rack of lamb.
Chef Ramsay: The lamb is cooked beautifully. The whole think looks stunning. It’s an amazing dish...

but Pierre’s is still the best so far. Valiant effort, though.
With Pierre still in the throne, only one member on the Red Team is left to try and dethrone him. However, Jay will attempt to dethrone him first with his tenderloin.
Chef Ramsay: Slightly undercooked, slightly under-seasoned... and the whole thing looks rather small, don’t you think? You won’t be dethroning Pierre.
Pierre remains the reigning champion, and the only person left to challenge him is Maurice with his version of pork.
Chef Ramsay: Pork is a LITTLE dry... but it’s still delicious. This is a great effort from you, but is it enough to beat Pierre?
Chef Ramsay is deciding who should win the challenge.

Chef Ramsay holds out his hand. As Pierre reaches to shake it, he notices Chef Ramsay handing something to him.
It’s a black jacket.
Chef Ramsay: Congratulations, you are also receiving the FIRST black jacket!
Pierre looks overwhelmed at the sight of his new black jacket. He eventually collects himself and puts it on.
Chef Ramsay: Blue Team... for your reward today, I’ve arranged for you to see one of the most breathtaking views on this earth... Niagara Falls! You’ll be enjoying a spectacular lunch in view of the famous waterfall, and you’ll even get a chance to see it up close! Get changed, your ride leaves in half an hour!
The Blue Team goes upstairs to get ready for their reward.
Chef Ramsay: Red Team... while the Blue Team enjoys their day at Niagara Falls, you’ll be spending the day in Hell’s Kitchen doing some water work of your own. In the basement, we’ve recently had some pipe leaks. I’ve hired a couple plumbers to show you how to fix it, but they will be doing no work. I’ve told them that you will be doing all of it. You’re going to be getting wet, so change into something you feel is appropriate.
The Blue Team enjoys their day at Niagara Falls while the Red Team fixes the plumbing issues in Hell’s Kitchen.
-Dinner Service-
This is the most important dinner service yet. Here are everyone’s stations.

The beginning of service goes well. Pierre and Europe both only have one communication issue and begin sending out appetizers at a steady rate right afterward.
The first problem of the night comes when Entrees begin to be ordered in the Blue Kitchen.
Chef Ramsay: Hey! Who cooked the lamb?
Jay: I did, chef.
Chef Ramsay: It’s fucking pink! Come on Jay, you aren’t known for sending in raw food!
Jay: Sorry, chef.
And then, in the red kitchen...
Chef Ramsay: Oh my god... Kourtney, come here. Just touch these! These scallops are rubber!
Kourtney: Sorry, chef.
Chef Ramsay: Do you want a black jacket?
Kourtney: Yes, chef!
Chef Ramsay: Then pull it together!
Kourtney: Yes chef! Maurice, how long on garnish?
Maurice: ...
Chef Ramsay: MAURICE! Can you not hear?!
Maurice: Oh! Sorry chef... I’m gonna be 10 minutes on garnish!
Chef Ramsay: Oh my god...
The rest of the night is a little bumpy. Jay sends in raw wellington, and Kourtney sends in another serving of raw scallops, as well as raw salmon.
Maurice has another communication issue, and Jake sends in unseared scallops.
And finally, Candy burns her wellington and tries to send it up to the pass.
Despite all of the bumps, the chefs are able to complete dinner service. Chef Ramsay meets with both of them.
Chef Ramsay: I was expecting tonight’s service to go... a little better. But we DID get through it. However... there is someone that I think needs to step forward right now.

Chef Ramsay: Young lady... you have been improving since I told you to find your confidence, BUT... you still have a lot of inconsistencies. So please...

As everyone watches in shock, Candy takes her jacket off and hands it to Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: And now put this one on.
Chef Ramsay then hands Candy a black jacket.
Feeling relieved and happy, Candy puts her new jacket on and returns back in line.
Chef Ramsay: Candy, congratulations! You have earned that jacket from your improvement and your boost in confidence! Now that there is a black jacket on each team... I would like for Pierre and Candy to both have a good think... and come up with the 1 person from your team that you think does NOT deserve a black jacket.
The chefs then head off to the dorms.
Pierre allows Jake and Jay to plead their cases to him, and he has no idea who he’s going to put up. After hearing both of their cases, he makes a decision.
Candy also hears the cases of her teammates. She doesn’t consider Europe a possibility because of her consistency, but she’s torn between Kourtney and Maurice. Eventually, she makes a decision.
-Elimination Ceremony-
The chefs meet up with Chef Ramsay. They can see that he has 4 more black jackets in front of him.
Chef Ramsay: Okay... Candy, who is the one person on your team that does NOT deserve a black jacket?
Candy: I’ve decided...

Kourtney doesn’t deserve a black jacket. She does have the cooking abilities, but I don’t really hear her voice in the kitchen, and she’s been mildly inconsistent throughout the competition.
Chef Ramsay: Okay... Pierre, who does NOT deserve a black jacket on the Blue Team.
Pierre: The person who doesn’t deserve a black jacket is...

Jay, chef. He’s a good chef, but he has been making tiny mistakes during almost every service, and I don’t think he’s ready to be a leader.
Chef Ramsay: I appreciate your nominees... but right now, there’s someone else.

Maurice faces Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: Maurice... you were a front runner to win since day one. But recently... you’ve been slipping.
Maurice: I can bounce back, chef.
Chef Ramsay: I’m sorry... give me your jacket.
Maurice then takes his jacket off.
Chef Ramsay: Now put on your black jacket.
Maurice is then handed a black jacket. He sighs with relief, and then looks overwhelmed as he puts on his new jacket. He joins his fellow chefs back in line.
Chef Ramsay: While I’m at it... Europe! Jake! Come and get your black jackets!
Europe and Jake then retrieve their black jackets and return back in line.
Chef Ramsay: Okay... Kourtney, Jay... only one black jacket left. Please step forward.
Kourtney and Jay face Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: I honestly thought you two would shine tonight, and you’d BOTH get black jackets... but now one of you has to go...
Kourtney and Jay then state why they should receive a black jacket. Chef Ramsay is having a difficult time making a decision.
Chef Ramsay: Okay... my decision is...

Jay then takes his jacket off and hands it to Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: Wake up. Here’s your black jacket.
Chef Ramsay then hands a black jacket to Jay.
Jay, looking happy, puts it on and returns back in line.
Chef Ramsay: Kourtney... come here.
Kourtney then walks up to Chef Ramsay.
Chef Ramsay: Let’s get a few things clear... you have an incredible palate, and you DO know how to cook. However... tonight, on the one night you needed to be at your best, you were at your worst. And I now know you aren’t ready to be a head chef. Please give me your jacket.
Kourtney then takes her jacket off and leaves Hell’s Kitchen.
Chef Ramsay: All 6 of you are now part of a very elite club... but remember, only one of you can be my next head chef. If I were you, I’d be at my best. Get the message?
Everyone: Yes, chef!
Chef Ramsay: Get out of here.
The chefs then head off to their dorms for the night, all of them now on the same team.
As Chef Ramsay walks up to his office, his voice can be heard narrating the scene.
“Kourtney is a decent chef with a phenomenal palate. But tonight, everyone rose to the top while she sank to the bottom.”
Chef Ramsay then hangs Kourtney’s jacket, and her picture burns up.
