15 tributes remain. Today, many of them will end up dead like yesterday’s tributes. Which of them will be lucky enough to survive day 2?

-A Sandy Morning-
The Careers have been sleeping inside of one of the apocalyptic houses all night long. It is now morning, and they are thirsty for blood.
There is a small sandstorm as they wake up, but nothing too severe. They are able to walk through it without any problems, and they begin hunting for tributes.
They walk for a while, and they don’t have a lot of luck finding what they’re looking for...
Tritan: Ugh, we’re never gonna find anyone else!
Aurora: Isn’t there supposed to be like 12 other tributes still alive? We can’t find a single one of them!
Veronica: Guys... be patient. One has to show up eventually. And even then, maybe they’ll end up killing each other. That’ll just make it easier for us!
The three continue hunting until they notice something odd.
A metal house has its cloth door missing. Inside of it is a bunch of sand, which was easily able to blow inside during the snowstorm.
Veronica: Looks like we may have caught a break!
The three careers head inside of the poorly built metal building to see a tribute sleeping with the cloth door being used as a blanket. There is sand all over it.
The tribute turns over, and his face is now visible.
It’s Raven.
Tritan: Alright... who gets to kill him!
Raven is suddenly woken up at the sound of someone else’s voice.
He realizes the career pack has found him, and then becomes scared for his life. The careers can see he is visibly shaken.
Veronica: This is gonna be great...
The careers begin walking toward Raven armed with weapons. All Raven can do is sit there scared shitless, waiting for the inevitable.
Throughout the entire arena, a horrifying scream can be heard, followed by a cannon.
BOOM!
-Siblings and a New Friend-
Alex: W-what was that?
Jobina and Alex are walking outside, trying to find something they can use to their advantage when they hear Raven’s scream followed by his cannon.
Jobina: Don’t worry about it... worry about yourself. You’re still alive, and I’m gonna make sure it stays that way.
The two ignore the noise and continue to look for supplies.
Suddenly, they come across what looks to be a bag.
Alex: Look! We found something!
Alex begins running toward the bag, but Jobina stops him.
Jobina: Wait... there wouldn’t just be a bag in the middle of nowhere. Someone’s here. Stay close to me.
Jobina takes out her bow and arrow and prepares to attack if she sees someone dangerous.
She peeks around the corner to see a tribute looking inside the metal buildings for supplies.
The tribute moves the cloth door out of the way as he exits the house, and then sees Jobina aiming a bow and arrow at him.
Jobina can see who this is.
It’s Oat.
Oat looks a little scared, but decides to speak up.
Oat: Listen... I d-dont want any trouble...
Jobina: What are you doing?
Oat: I was just looking for supplies... I wasn’t trying to hunt for anyone or anything... I swear. Please just let me go...
Jobina: You do know that one of us will have to die at some point.
Oat: Yeah, but... I don’t have any intention of hurting you! Even if we were the final 2! I could even help you, we could be allies!
Jobina: Sorry... I don’t know if I can trust you.
Oat: I’m not a killer... I swear...
At that moment, Alex decides to speak up.
Alex: Wait... you’re not gonna kill him are you? He could help us!
Jobina then looks at her brother, then at Oat. She suddenly looks like she’s having a change of heart.
She stays silent for a moment, and then makes her decision.
She lowers her bow and arrow.
Jobina: Fine... we can be allies for the time being.
Oat: Oh wow, really?! Thank you so mu-
Jobina: BUT... if you do ANYTHING to hame me OR him... I’ll make sure your death is slow and painful. Is that understood?
Oat gulps.
Oat: Y-yes ma’am.
Jobina: Alright, come and walk in front of us so I can make sure you aren’t doing anything suspicious. We’re looking for supplies too.
The three then start heading off, Oat clearly looking like he is out of his comfort zone.
-You Brought Us Together-
In a distant part of the arena... another “mirage” generated by the capitol.
This one is inside of the arena border, and consists of a large feast.
At first, it seems like no one is noticing.
Then, suddenly... tributes begin to show up out of the blue.
6 tributes in fact.
There’s Lindsay, armed with a sickle.
Her District partner Letty, armed with only his comedic tactics.
Finstock and Daria, the foreign cousins, armed with axes.
And finally... Lawrence and Brimmy, armed with knives, who have seemingly formed an alliance of some kind.
As all 6 tributes arrive at the mirage, it begins to disappear.
After a few moments, all the tributes can see is each other.
They all clench their weapons tightly, thinking that a fight is about to break out.
Suddenly, Lawrence realizes what’s going on hear, and speaks out to the tribute.
Lawrence: Wait! We don’t have to fight!
The tributes stare at him.
Lawrence: Don’t you see? I think that fake feast was placed there on purpose so we would all be lured here and forced to fight! Let’s not give them what they want!
The tributes look confused.
Lawrence: Listen... I say we make the most out of this, and we all form a 6 person alliance! If we work together, we may even be able to beat the careers.
The tributes look skeptical until Brimmy speaks out.
Brimmy: I-I think that’s a great idea.
More tributes begin to approve after Brimmy agrees.
Finstock: I would be down with that!
Daria: Yeah, what’s the point in fighting each other now?
Letal: Yeah, we could call ourselves 6 in the city or something like that! Ha ha!
The only person who hasn’t answered is Lindsay. She doesn’t want to hang out with people she doesn’t know, but at the same time, she knows she won’t get very far if she doesn’t join an alliance.
Lindsay: I... I’d love to join.
Lawrence: Well then it’s settled then! What do you say we look for a place to set up camp?
The tributes cheer him on.
Lindsay follows the group, but you can tell she is way out of her comfort zone.
-A Sorrowful Death-
Sorrow has been trying to avoid contact with other tributes for most of the day.
It’s sunset now, and she is now looking for a place to settle down for the night. She can feel a sandstorm coming her way.
She picks a building to sleep in, and begins laying down her roots for the night.
As she is preparing to set up a place to sleep, she hears someone entering the house when she hears the cloth door being flapped around, as if it’s being lifted.
She looks up to see Parvati entering the house, thinking it’s abandoned.
Parvati eventually sees her too, and becomes scared for her life.
Parvati: No, no... I’m not ready!
Parvati, panicking, pulls out a knife.
Sorrow: Hey, wait! I...
Before Sorrow can finish, Parvati begins attacking.
Out of reflexes, Sorrow dodges her attack and pushes her against the wall. As she is stunned, Sorrow takes Parvati’s knife.
Parvati: Wait... please don’t!
Sorrow: I’ve had too many disappointments in life, I’m not gonna let you be another!
Sorrow then cuts Parvati’s throat.
As Parvati bleeds out, she looks terrified, scared of what comes after life is over, if anything at all.
She eventually bleeds out, and finds out what happens after you die.
BOOM!
After defeating her attacker, Sorrow takes Parvati’s knife and puts it in her backpack. She then tries to sleep, attempting to forget about what she just did.
-Strategy-
The alliance of 6 have picked a roomy metal pieced house to settle in for the night. They spend the night talking about their lives, and explaining why they ended up staying alive for this long.
The only person who hasn’t spoken much is Lindsay, but the group is still addressing her as a part of the alliance.
For once, Lindsay feels... safe... around other people.
Lawrence: Hey wait... what districts are you guys from again? I can never remember that, I’m from 6!
Brimmy: 10.
Letty: Me and Lindsay are both from 8! We’re pretty crazy 8’s, ha ha!
Lindsay: Y-yeah. District 8 is our home...
Lawrence looks at them with a smile on his face, but with also skepticism.
Finstock: Me and Daria are immigrants from District 9!
Lawrence: Oh... really?
Daria: Yeah! We’re cousins!
Lawrence: Huh. Cool...
Lawrence looks a little scared. But he still has a smile on his face.
After a while, all the tributes attempt to get some sleep.
The one who’s struggling the most is Lindsay, but she still feels safe around these new people. For once, she feels like her fear of strangers isn’t affecting her.
Is is just about drift to sleep, when she can hear someone talking behind her.
She is facing away from all the other tributes, so she looks like she’s sleeping.
She tries to listen closely to the conversation. She can make out Brimmy and Lawrence’s voices.
Brimmy: Wait... you’re saying we have to...
Lawrence: Yes, we have to kill them! All four of them, while they’re all unable to fight back.
Brimmy: But... that doesn’t seem like a good thing to do...
Lawrence: Brimmy... don’t you see? They’re two sets of district partners! They’re only gonna protect each other. Once it’s down to just us, they’ll kill us off in no time! We have to do this to survive.
Brimmy: Yeah... I g-guess you’re right.
Lindsay feels shocked and betrayed after listening to this conversation. She is now terrified, and she has no idea what to do.
Lawrence: We’ll do it together, okay? It’ll be quick, just a little stab in their brains. They won’t feel a thing. Let’s start with the District 8 kids.
Lindsay tries not to react or move as she feels a presence standing above her. She sees a shadow holding a knife above her head, and she knows she has never felt this scared in her life.
Lawrence: On 3. 1... 2...
At that moment, Lindsay prepares to run.
Lawrence: 3!
Lawrence jams his knife right into Letal’s skull, killing him instantly.
BOOM!
However, As Brimmy tried to kill Lindsay in the same way, she rolled out of the way, and quickly got back on her feet.
Brimmy: Shit, she’s still awake!
Lawrence: Get her!
Lindsay tries to run, but Lawrence and Brimmy tackle her with teamwork.
Lindsay let’s out a few light screams, but Brimmy covers her mouth.
Brimmy: Kill her!
Lawrence picks up Brimmy’s dropped knife, and prepares to stab Lindsay.
However, he is interrupted.
Finstock: What the hell...?
Lindsay’s screams have woken up Finstock and Daria.
Daria: What... what are you guys doing to Lindsay?
Brimmy and Lawrence both look nervous.
Lawrence: She.. uh... she attacked us in our sleep. She even killed Letty! We need to kill her.
Finstock and Daria look at Lindsay, who has visible tears in her eyes. They clearly aren’t buying it.
Panicking, Lawrence gets off of Lindsay and charges at the cousins while they’re still unarmed.
Lawrence immediately sticks his knife in Daria’s head while she isn’t prepared.
BOOM!
Finstock stares at his now dead cousin.
Lawrence pull out the knife and prepares to attack again, but Finstock easily overpowers him.
As they are struggling, Lindsay notices Brimmy is just watching the fight. She takes the opportunity to break free of Brimmy’s hold, and runs to her bag to get her sickle.
Brimmy runs after her, but as soon as he catches up to her, she slices his throat with her weapon.
Brimmy then quickly bleeds out.
BOOM!
Lindsay can see Finstock is holding down Lawrence. Lawrence is desperately struggling for air, until after a while... he stops moving.
BOOM!
Finstock then quietly collapses, tired. He stares at Lindsay, who has collapsed on the floor in a cradle position, crying.
He then crawls over to his dead district partner, and mourns her death.
After a while, Finstock looks back up to say something to Lindsay, but all he notices is that she has disappeared.
Finstock: Lindsay?
Finstock walks outside and calls her name, but all he finds is the fallen tributes being projected in the sky.

Lindsay was aware that Finstock called for her, but she chose to ignore him and continue walking away. She feels like she can’t trust anyone ever again.

Wow... what a day, huh! Some crazy events happened.
And now... only 9 tributes are still alive.
Tomorrow, we may not see a lot of death... but a couple tributes will still die!
