Chris and Carol, who decided to team up for the time being after their encounter at Cornucopia.
Chris and Carol were getting ready to sleep when Carol was able to make out a series of moans.
Carol: Do you hear that?
Chris: What? I don’t hear anythi—
Chris suddenly notices that there is a bunch of rain clouds headed toward their camp.
Chris: Is that... rain?
Carol: And is that... the boy from District 10?
Carol is able to make out a pain-struck Sal, who is being injured from the rain.
Chris: The rain is killing him!
Suddenly, Chris and Carol can hear a cannon going off in the distance.
Carol: It’s headed toward us.
Chris: Run!
Chris and Carol then grab whatever supplies they can and start running away from the rain.

The second day of the games have officially begun. The it is extremely early in the morning.
Kwen and Cris have found a place to sleep for the night, and have woken up bright and early to move to a new area. They don’t know about the rain. They are chatting together as they walk.
They talk about their lives outside of the Hunger Games, and about their families. Cris learns that Kwen is the brother of one of last year’s tributes.
Kwen: Hey... can I ask you something?
Cris: Sure.
Kwen: Yesterday during the bloodbath... you had the chance to kill me... but you instead you helped me. Why?
Cris is silent for a moment.
Cris: Well, I think I really did it becau—
Cris is suddenly cut off when he and Kwen fall into what seems to be a hole. He realizes he and Kwen stepped on one of those traps where a hole in the ground is covered by leaves or rubble to trick people into falling in them.
Cris and Kwen notice a figure standing above the hole. A second smaller figure joins them.
Person 1: Don’t get too close.
Person 2: Wait... is that a career?!
Person 1: Don’t worry, he can’t hurt you now.
Cris and Kwen are now able to recognize the duo as the tributes from District 3... Sony and Wanda.
Knowing who they are now, Kwen tries to reason with them.
Kwen: You don’t have to kill me...
Wanda: Actually, if me or Sony want to win these games, yes we do. Nothing personal.
Wanda then gets out a grenade which she presumably obtained from her supply bag.
Kwen: Please... I’m begging you...
Wanda: If the rolls were reversed, would you spare our lives?
Kwen: Of course!
Wanda: Please, stop trying to feed me bullshit. You’re a career. I know you wouldn’t waste 2 seconds deciding to kill us both off.
At this point, Cris stands up and becomes visible to the District 3 tributes.
Cris: Don’t! Please!
Wanda then recognizes Cris as the tribute from District 6.
Sony: You two... were working together?
Cris: Yes! Kwen isn’t like the other careers... he’s not a vicious killer!
Sony: But we saw him slit the throat of that one girl from District 1!
Cris: Exactly! Don’t careers usually work together? Why would he have killed another career if he was just like them? Plus... he’s been working with me this whole time!
Kwen then starts speaking.
Kwen: Look, you don’t have to trust me, but I seriously don’t have any intentions to harm you! The four of us could even work together!
Wanda is actually considering the offer.
Wanda: Hmm...
Sony: You know, working with a career might actually be beneficial for us!
Wanda: Okay... fine. But if you try anything... I will set off this grenade and take all of us out.
Wanda and Sony then help Kwen and Cris out of their trap.
The group walks north for a while. Wanda is still skeptical about Kwen, but they all seem to get along.
Eventually, they can see two limping figures in the distance.
Sony: Who is that?
Suddenly, they can make out a very injured Chris and Carol.
Carol: Run... don’t let the rain...
Chris: The rain... it’s like acid...
Cris: Rain? What rain?
The group then notices a storm behind the injured pair.
Wanda takes Sony’s hand.
Wanda: We need to get out of here!
Wanda and Sony then start to run off. Cris, however, runs toward the injured pair to help them. Kwen considers whether or not to help, but runs off with Wanda and Sony.
Cris is able to help Carol to her feet, but Chris isn’t so lucky. He reaches out to Cris, but saving Carol is tough enough itself for him. He unfortunately leaves Chris behind, and the rain soon consumes him.
BOOM!
Cris pays no mind to the cannon in the background and is focused on saving Carol. However, he is struggling.
Cris: KWEN! Help!
Kwen turns around. He sees Cris having trouble carrying Carol. Kwen considers what to do again, but this time, he decides to help.
He and Cris are able to carry Carol to safety.
The group, now consisting of 5 tributes, heads into an abandoned building to take shelter. Carol is badly injured and has passed out from her injuries.
The group decides to wait the storm out. The storm lasts all day, and the group can even make out a cannon in the distance...
BOOM!
Sony: Who’s cannon was that?
Wanda: I guess we’ll find out later tonight.

TB and Jessie have been staying in their original building for most of the day. They knew not to go outside during the storm after seeing Char’s corpse dissolve from the rain. Soon enough, the storm eventually stops during the late evening. they both decide to step outside.
Jessie: Who’s cannon do you think that was?
TB: I-I think it was that person’s.
He then points to a corpse several feet away from them.
They both rush to the corpse to make out who it is.
Jessie: Oh my god... is that...?
TB: My district partner...
The corpse was indeed Hannah’s.
Jessie: Damn... she was just a little kid. What happened to her?
TB: Looks like the rain caught up with her.
The two give Hannah a moment of silence.
Suddenly, the silence is broken when Jessie notices Franzi and Citrine in the distance.
They seemed to have survived the storm and are looking for supplies, heavily armed.
Jessie: Look, it’s those siblings from District 2.
TB: I think it’s best if we leave them alone. They’re both killing machines, and I don’t think we can overpower them.
Jessie: Agreed.
TB and Jessie then head back to their building, unaware that Citrine spotted them for a moment.

Ivory also survived the storm. He seems to be in the middle of the big city, looking for supplies and anything he can use.
He is on what seems to be a highway, walking by himself.
Suddenly, as he walks by a black car, he suddenly feels himself falling.
Next thing he knows, Rocky is on top of him, trying to slice his throat.
Ivory is using his strength to hold Rocky’s hand away from his head, until...
BOOM!
Ivory suddenly feels Rocky’s strength vanishing. He looks up to see an arrow shot straight through Rocky’s brain.
He then notices on the top of one of the skyscrapers, Beck can be seen with her bow and arrow. She attempts to fire another arrow at Ivory, but he hides behind a car to take cover.
He stays here for the rest of the night, afraid that Beck will strike the moment he’s vulnerable.
Night Falls, and the fallen tributes are projected in the sky.

We are down to just 11 within the first 2 days.
With this new danger over and done with, what will the tributes do?
Will the group of 5 work together, or will they turn on each other?
Will Franzi and Citrine hunt down the tributes they saw, or will TB and Jessie notice them before it’s too late?
And will Ivory be able to get to Beck before she gets to him first?
