-HOH Competition-

Maliyah, as the outgoing Head of Household, you are not eligible to compete.

This competition is called “A Darq Competition”.

This competition is based off of a Season 1 competition titled “Little HOH Nightmares”.

All you have to do is watch this video from start to finish!

It’s the full gameplay from a short video game called “Darq”.

On Wednesday, I’m going to give you all Trivia Questions about this game, so I would recommend watching it very closely!

NOTE: When I did this in season 1, most of the players complained about this competition.

The original competition featured the game “Little Nightmares” which I am STILL obsessed with. And this game is very similar to it.

Some of them said they didn’t have the time to watch it (It was a little under 2 hours long), however this time around the game is less than an hour long, and you will have over 24 hours to watch whatever you can.

So whenever you have the time, try to watch this game. A good chunk of it is just boring puzzles, but that’s the challenging part of the competition! It tests your ability to pay attention at times you may not want to.

So basically, watch the video when you have the time, and on Wednesday there will be questions to answer about it.

I’ll even leave the video up on this blog when the questions are asked so you can look back on them.

And also, here’s a little bit of background info about the game:

The young bald boy is named Lloyd, and he has these constant lucid dreams where he can defy the laws of physics and walk on walls. But in these dreams are dangers, and if they kill him in his dreams, he may die in real life...

Each dream that Lloyd has is a different chapter in the game.

There are a total of 7 chapters in the game.

And that’s it!

Good luck!

-Questions-

1. What Chapter does the Tuba man appear in?
2. What Chapter takes place in a Theatre?
3. How many times does Lloyd light a fire throughout the game?
4. How many severed limbs does Lloyd collect throughout the game?
5. How many Gears does Lloyd collect throughout the game?
6. In what chapter does the Granny first appear?
7. How many times does the Little Boy with the Paper Bag appear through the game?
8. What chapter doesn’t seem to have any danger/creatures in it?
9. How many enemies appear in chapter 6?
10. What happens to Lloyd at the end of the game (Open-Answered Question, tell me what you think happened)?

-Answers-

Well I have news!

Corn, Sea, Zach and Chris are all disqualified for not answering!

That leaves Kalypso, Vanessa and Leon.

Here are the correct answers to the questions.

1. What Chapter does the Tuba man appear in?

The correct answer is Chapter 6.

It is the Tuba Man’s ONLY appearance in the game.

Kalypso and Vanessa both got it right, while Leon answered incorrectly with Chapter 5.

Kalypso and Vanessa are tied with 1 point.

2. What Chapter takes place in a Theatre?

The correct answer is Chapter 4.

You ALL got this one!

Kalypso and Vanessa are tied with 2 points, while Leon has 1.

3. How many times does Lloyd light a fire throughout the game?

The correct answer is 2.

He burned down a wooden doorway with a box of matches in Chapter 2, and he lit a furnace of coal in Chapter 5.

He technically pushed a detonator to set off dynamite, so that time does not count.

NO ONE got this one correct!

4. How many severed limbs does Lloyd collect throughout the game?

The correct answer is 6.

He collected 4 severed hands in Chapter 3 to help him find the exit, and he collected 2 severed legs in Chapter 6 to activate an elevator.

Vanessa is the only one to get this correct!

Kalypso was incorrect with a guess of 5, and Leon was incorrect with a guess of 10.

Vanessa has 3 points.
Kalypso has 2.
Leon has 1.

5. How many Gears does Lloyd collect throughout the game?

The correct answer is 3.

They all are collected in Round 1. What you all may not have noticed was that Lloyd collected the same gears more than once.

Everyone answered with 6, so NO ONE gets a point!

6. In what chapter does the Granny first appear?

The correct answer is chapter 5.

Fun Fact: Chapter 5 is when the Granny makes her FIRST appearance, but she actually appears twice in that very chapter!

Vanessa and Kalypso both got the question correct, while Leon is incorrect with Chapter 3.

Vanessa has 4 points, Kalypso has 3, and Leon still has only 1.

7. How many times does the Little Boy with the Paper Bag appear through the game?

The correct answer is 6.

He appears once in Chapter 1, once in Chapter 5, twice in Chapter 6, and twice in Chapter 7.

NO ONE got this one correct either!

8. What chapter doesn’t seem to have any danger/creatures in it?

The correct answer is Chapter 2.

The keyword here is “creatures”. There is no way to die in Chapter 2, at least no way that I’m aware of.

Chapter 4 is mostly safe, but there is a room full of moving and twitching puppets in that theatre. And fun fact: if you enter that room without a mask on, they will instantly attack and kill you.

Kalypso is the only one who got the question correct, while Vanessa and Leon both answered with Chapter 4.

Kalypso and Vanessa are now tied again with 4 points. Leon only has one.

9. How many enemies appear in chapter 6?

The correct answer is 2.

The Bird Man and the Tuba Man are the only enemies that can kill you in chapter 2.

Kalypso got the question correct, while Vanessa is incorrect with 5 and Leon is incorrect with 3.

Kalypso is currently in the lead with 5 points. Vanessa has 4, and Leon has 1.

10. What happens to Lloyd at the end of the game (Open-Answered Question, tell me what you think happened)?

There are actually no wrong answers to this one, since the ending of this game is meant to be interpreted.

However, I want to share what I think might be the best explanation.

Did any of you wonder why Lloyd is bald? He also looks sick... perhaps it’s because he is dying.

There were moments in the game where the world in Lloyd’s dream would crumble and fall apart... which could represent his illness getting worse.

He is spending the rest of his days in a scary hospital, and in his dreams the monsters that try to kill him resemble another resident of the hospital, or maybe even one of the staff at the hospital.

Did you notice how one of those monsters attacked him right before his Chapter 6 dream? This could possibly be a doctor rushing towards him as he is falling asleep, because something isn’t right...

And then in Chapter 7 (the final bit of the game where all of the monsters of the game come together and attack him), the Lamp Ladies are constantly shooting at him while the world around him is falling apart. This could represent nurses giving him shock therapy and attempting to revive him.

And as Lloyd is escaping the monsters and everything falls apart, his world is flipped upside down, everything goes silent for a moment, and as the camera zooms away, he resembles a skeleton.

This could represent the moment Lloyd starts flatlining.

At the very end of the game, Lloyd is seen walking through a door full of light. As soon as he walks through, we can hear the sound of a baby crying, and then the credits roll.

This may mean that Lloyd got a second chance at life and was reincarnated.

...

Anyway, long story short, you all get a free point!

And the final point total is:

Kalypso with 6.
Vanessa with 5.
Leon with 2.

Kalypso has the most points!

Congratulations Kalypso, you are the new Head of Household!

Kalypso’s nominations will be revealed tomorrow.

Until then, have a nice day :D
