Can a parent “shut off” their kid’s phones?

Mar 19, 2020 by NanoNerd
My mom keeps saying she can do that at any time and that all my apps will be inaccessible, and the only thing I’ll be able to do is call 911. Can she actually do this? Because I’m not entirely sure if she’s serious or if she’s just saying that to scare me...

As far as I know they can take it away from you but they can't shut it off if they don't take it away from you first.

I don't know the rules/laws where you live though
