Tomorrow, either Colin or Washed will be crowned the winner of Nano’s Big Brother. Before we start voting, however, the jury has a lot of questions for the two of you.

They actually had quite a lot. I didn’t think I should ask you that many, so I’ve picked some of the best (with a little help from the jury) to ask each of you tonight. Please EMAIL me your answers to the questions addressed to you at some point tonight so the jury will have time to vote.

-Jury Questions-

Questions for Washed

Vanessa asked...

Washed, apart from being the HOH in the week I was evicted (which I know wasn't your idea), what was your biggest move that YOU came up with without me or Red-Nosed Taylor?

Washed answered...

Vanessa, I feel as though I had two very large moves that were completely separate from my game with you. My first one was flipping the vote to keep GiNi and evicting DJ, but playing it off to my allies as though it was not me. While all my allies at the time wanted Gini gone, I knew that evicting him was not best for my game moving forward, so I broke away and listened to my gut and did what I had to do. Later down the road, when I felt as though it was time to cut ties with Dan, I used this vote from weeks earlier and pinned the vote flip on him, causing Taylor to want to go after him as well. My second biggest move was turning the tide on Bri during the double eviction. Going into the double, my two closest allies (Taylor and Vanessa) were both messaging me conflicting things. Vanessa wanted us to go after Taylor, while Taylor wanted us to go after Vanessa. I knew that Bri was coming for me specifically, and so I acted quickly and claimed to Vanessa that Bri was coming after her and that she was the biggest target and she needed to go. Meanwhile, I also convinced Taylor that Bri was coming for us both and that she needed to be evicted. By the time of the Double Eviction HOH, both of my allies were after Bri, and not each other, and the one person who was gunning for me was swiftly evicted.

Drew asked...

Washed, tell me how you outplayed everyone. I don't accept "I won challenges whenever I needed to and threw the rest of them". That's not an acceptable attitude. If you can't answer without this kind of attitude I'm not going to give you my vote. So choose carefully.

Washed answered...

Drew, I outplayed everyone through my social game. I was highly strategic with whom I aligned with and I never gave out more information then I had to. I kept my alliances in secret and made sure nobody knew who I was working with. I had an alliance with Bri, Taylor and Dan, while I also kept close with Vanessa, Gini and Kalypso on the side, and I aligned with Shaun as soon as he came back in the house and made sure he knew I was on his side. I made my own moves and analyzed all that I saw and did whatever was best for my own game, nobody else’s. This is why I flipped the vote to keep Gini, and targeted Tink on my HOH. Going into my HOH, half of my allies wanted Gini out, and the other half wanted Taylor gone, but I knew that the only one I had to worry about was Tink, so I used my HOH as I saw fit and made sure she walked out the door. I know you don’t want to hear about throwing comps, but that all stems back to my social game. As Kevin Martin said, “if you’re ever at a point where you have to win a competition, you’ve done something wrong on the social level.” Until the very last couple of weeks of gameplay, I did not feel like I needed to win a comp. My HOH win in week 5 was not a comp I needed to win, nor did I want to win it since I felt it would expose my alliances. However, I made it through my HOH undetected and got a threat to my own game out of the house. Likewise, my veto win in week 9 was not a comp I needed to win either, and this is all attributed to my strong social game, and the fact that I knew I would be safe whether I won or not. I think my social game can be proved by the fact that I was put up Week 1, managed to survive, and didn’t go back on the block until Week 12 when I was literally the only option left.

Dan asked...

Washed, were you actually loyal to anybody in this game?

Washed answered...

Dan, I was loyal to my allies who were loyal to me. When I was aligned with Bri, Taylor and you, Dan, I was truly loyal to you all. I only went against our alliance twice: when you wanted to get rid of Gini (who was always loyal to me) and when I found out Britt wanted me take out during the double eviction. After the double, our alliance was essentially destroyed, but I stayed loyal to the two who were always loyal to me by that point: Taylor and Vanessa. I fully planned to get to final 3 with them and battle it out for final HOH. I only went against Vanessa when she began to act sketchy during the Hide-And-Go-Veto competition, and after Taylor sent me skewed screenshots to paint Vanessa in a bad light. Had things not gone awry during that week, I believe I would be sitting here with one of them, as I had planned to do since the midway point of the game.

Questions for Colin

Vanessa asked...

Colin, was doing nothing in this game until Week 12 apart of your strategy or were you just being a floater?

Colin answered...

It was not part of my strategy as I did not expect to make it that far. I only did what I had to do when I saw myself in a situation where I would be evicted if I did not win.

Drew asked...

Colin, I don't feel like you ever really talked to me. Tell me your biggest move in this game. I want a good answer. If I don't get one, I might not vote for you so give me a good answer if you want my vote.

Colin answered...

Yup we never talked. Honestly my biggest move in my opinion was my social game I only aligned with a person I knew well and I could trust. This helped me propel myself to Final 4 until I had to get my first ever HoH win in the season as I knew I would be in a pickle without it.

Kalypso asked...

Colin, you don't have as many competition wins as Washed has so I know that you've had to rely on your social game this season - explain how you managed to reach the final two despite being on the block numerous times and with only one competition win.

Colin answered...

I managed to get here by aligning with Vanessa who I knew I could trust as we had talked before. After a few weeks not getting put up Taylor wanted to align with me I gladly accepted as I knew I needed more allies since I was not good at the comps. When I was first placed up. I was worried but placed my trust in my 2 allies that helped me stay in the game until Week 12 when I'm alerted that Washed and Taylor were teaming up and I was not safe at all sadly this was after the nominations. I only won the HoH because I was suspicious of Taylor by now. And I'm sure you know the rest with poor taylor getting red-nosed :C

Questions for both

Shaun asked...

How did you make it to the final 2 without the person sitting next to you?

Washed answered...

Shaun, I made it here 10000000% without Colin. I cannot recall ever exchanging a single message with Colin. He had little to no impact on my game except for when we had to guess how he would vote every week.

Colin answered...

I made it here with only 1 message from Washed asking me to save him early on afterwards we never communicated in the game again. I made it here putting my trust in my 2 allies who helped propel me up here as I was bad at comps. Though 1 got red-nosed and another evicted for 6th I tried my hardest for them.

Bri asked...

What were the moves that you made, that solidifies you as a big brother winner..whether it be a solo move or maybe a mastermind move?

Washed answered...

Bri, I believe my overall biggest move was my two-step move that started in week 4 and ended in week 9. Once I flipped the vote to keep Gini, I kept in mind how confused everyone was by this vote and used it weeks later in the game to pin it on Dan. After Dan campaigned for Drew to be evicted over Gini, I made the argument that “Dan must be secretly working with Gini. He flipped the vote in week 4 and got everyone to keep Gini instead of Drew in week 6. He’s controlling all the votes.'' I made this case to taylor, vanessa, and Kalypso and all were quickly on board with getting Dan out. Even though it appears that Dan and Kalypso aligned later on, she still chose to put Dan and Shaun on the block for her HOH, when she easily could have put up Taylor, as she had told me she wanted to. However, I convinced her not to put her up and my closest allies were safe once again.

Colin answered...

I believe what solidifies me as a big brother winner was my social moves and taking action when I needed too in week 12 by winning the HoH  to avoid being obviously evicted.

Dan asked...

Tell me why you deserve to win this title?

Washed answered...

Dan, I deserve to win this game because I actually played the game. I aligned, I schemed, I made my own decisions and voted whichever way was best for my own game. I was loyal to my allies, but cut ties whenever I saw hints of disloyalty. I was flexible and worked my way around the house and aligned with everyone and anyone who was willing to work with me. I made moves behind the scenes that even my allies such as vanessa were unaware of, even though she thought she knew everything I was doing. I put targets on the people I wanted taken out and did whatever I needed to do to keep myself and my allies safe, and that’s why I’m sitting here today and why I wasn’t evicted when I was on the block week 1.

Colin answered...

I think I deserve to win because of how I worked out my social game and how I actually took action when I needed to. I tried to fight back against Taylor when she wanted Vanessa gone as I had to keep both of my allies in the game. I did my best to keep my allies in the game. Even if it meant me being evicted later on I was loyal to them till their end.

-Jury Questioning Over-

And with that, the jury’s questions have been answered.

Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for...

It is now officially time for the jury to start voting for the winner of Nano’s Big Brother. Some have given me their votes ahead of time, but now the others can vote with answered questions. Jurors, please EMAIL me who you would like to vote for. The results will be revealed tomorrow. Until then...
