J.K. Rowling’s transphobic comments were horrible, but… in what way are any of her Harry Potter books transphobic? Am I just supposed to stop loving the Harry Potter universe (which I’ve loved for a large portion of my life) because she made those comments?

And besides… she literally didn’t write Hogwarts Legacy. It’s literally just based on the books she wrote. The game literally just takes place in her universe. She really had no part in making it. I don’t understand how that translates to transphobia.

So ultimately, I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to play Hogwarts Legacy.

She still gets revenue from the game though. And she said the money she earns is proof people support her views.

You can still enjoy the stuff but she considers it support for her views.

I own all of the books and movies and I will continue to enjoy them as I please. But I will no longer do anything that will benefit her monetarily.
