ARMENIA
After Armenia sent a flop entry last year, I'm super happy that they went back to an internal selection and chose this iconic song. Honestly, I feel like I put this too high in my ratings, so it'll probably move down in the future, but I still REALLY like this song. However, I feel like I only really like the chorus and the ending of the song. The verses are really weak, and I really don't know what she's saying at all? However, the chorus and the ending are enough to overlook the weak verses. I LOVE the ending were Srbuk is just belting out all of the notes, and I really hope that she'll be able to deliver that live, because that's just goosebumps waiting to happen! I really like the message of this song too, and I feel like the song lends itself really well to staging - which Armenia is good at - so I'm interested to see the route this song goes! I'm not entirely sold on Armenia's chances at qualifying yet, and I sadly can see this flopping, but if Srbuk and the staging are great, this should have no problems making it to the final.
