I'm livid right now. I knew the universe wouldn't do me good and give me 3 great winners in a row. So I got stuck with possible one of my least favorite Eurovision winners ever. Not sure whether I hate this or Emmile de Puke more, but only time will tell. Eleni was robbed and deserved the win and the jury win after giving the performance of a lifetime, while Netta just stood there with the cats in the background doing more than her.
SIDENOTE - I wrote that little summary immediately following the final when I was livid, same with the notes on Israel and Cyprus. I have since calmed down a little bit lol but if you can sense some anger it's because I was infuriated right after the final l0l

Israel - just got an actual headache after her winning performance if that displays to you how much I detest this song
Cyprus - ROBBED ICON ELENI FOUREIRA!!!! IF CYPRUS CAN'T WIN WITH THIS THAN THEYRE NEVER GOING TO WIN AND THIS WAS THE ACTUAL PERFORMANCE OF A LIFETIME AND DESERVED TO WIN THIS CONTEST SO MUCH MORE!!! JURIES DIDNT RESPECT HER SINGING AND HITTING EVERY NOTE WHILE DANCING THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE SONG!!!! This is and will forever be the most ROBBED eurovision song I have ever heard, and I don't think I will ever be over this robbery
Austria - One of my least favorite songs of the night, and of course it somehow manages to pull THIRD???? Perhaps one of the biggest shocks of the night???? I wasn't surprised that the jury was obsessed with this song, but I didn't expect it to be so much that they were the jury WINNERS????? Fine I guess
Germany - Ugh I'm so happy for Michael and Germany. He was SO CLOSE to getting third and I really wish he did!! Just an emotional and beautiful performance that deserved to do well, and I'm so happy that this is the ballad that Europe decided to get behind this year!! Also happy to see Germany actually receiving points for the first time since 2012
Italy - This was also really random to me?? I love this song and this performance but don't really know if it was worthy of a top 5 finish?? It also confused me how Europe voted this as the third best song with Cyprus only a few points ahead of it?? Overall a great performance though and I was wearing my Italia shirt today, so I'm happy for them!!
-NOTEWORTHY PERFORMANCES-
Czech Republic - Ugh Mikolas what a man. Was REALLY hoping he'd be able to pull out a top 5 finish, as the Czech Republic REALLY deserves this, and you could tell just how much fun Mikolas was having. The song was stronger than ever and the performance was great and I was happy he was finally able to do his flip
Sweden - I honestly thought Sweden was about to win Eurovision again tonight. Considering he did GREAT with the juries who I thought would hate him I was FLOORED when the televote CRUSHED him. I would've been pleased with this as the winner though as it's super sleek and modern, but I guess I'm happy Sweden won't be hosting yet again this decade l0l
Estonia - OPERA GODDESS!!!! I'm so happy that both the televoters and the jury were able to recognize the masterpiece that is La Forza and Elina Nechayeva, and while I wish she would've placed a little higher, I'm still super pleased with how well she did tonight!!
Lithuania - UGH I LOVE IEVA!!! The most beautiful performance of the night for me, and she was just able to captivate me from start to finish with her beautiful vocals and beautiful song. I really wish she would've been able to crack the top 10, but 12th is still a great placing and I'm proud for her and Lithuania
France - I expected them to do better than 13th, especially since they had a great draw and performance tonight. Still a beautiful song though, and I loved the shot when the entire audience was doing the hand motions with her!!
Slovenia - An icon!!! I'm so happy with how well she did, and while I wish she did a little better I'm happy she didn't end at the very bottom as I was worried might of happened
-LAST PLACE-
Portugal - I LOVE this song so much, but it really did get lost tonight. Even when the voting was happening I literally forgot the Portuguese entry was there. I think the big problem was that it isn't the type of song that's high impact, and while I personally love this song I can't say I'm too surprised with the result
-SEMI FINAL THOUGHTS-
Not really surprised with any of the placings. Super happy that Switzerland wasn't at the very bottom of semi 1. Also BLESS UP that Iceland saved Macedonia from getting last in the semi this year!! My heart also breaks for Romania being so close to qualifying, but also super happy that they didn't beat out Hungary which was an iconic performance during the evening. Also surprised Latvia was also able to come so close to qualifying, as I really thought they were going to be massively underrated. Finally, super pleased that my girl and rap icon JENY B was able to avoid last place in S2!!!!!
Overall, I loved a vast majority of the songs in Eurovision this year. The final was SUPER STRONG and I think all of these songs and countries can be proud of how well they did. The voting was also one of the most suspenseful voting sequences in a while, with the jury votes going all over the place and having no idea what was going on during the televote with the likes of Australia and Sweden getting virtually no points. While I am massively disappointed with the winner and would have much preferred Cyprus to win and host next year, I'm happy Israel will be able to host Eurovision next year

Jury overlooked Eleni so badly it was obvious, they scored her low for being the sexy, female pop artist but her stage presence and vocals were amazing.
I HONESTLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW/WHY THEY SCORED HER SO LOW???? Like she clearly had the most challenging and vocally draining choreography but was still able to nail every note all while dancing in sync????
