Wow, I love when Europe votes for quality of a song over the countries name. Iconic results two nights in a row and I'm very happy with the way everything went down!! Of course this semi was much weaker, but I still enjoyed it!!
1. Norway
Did he seem off tonight or was that just me?? Because I tend to love his performances and the song is decent, but I just wasn't feeling it at all tonight?? As if he was lacking charisma
2. Romania
Rip their qualification record. I honestly thought that this would be enough to qualify, especially since her vocals are very strong. I guess it just got lost amongst the other songs...
3. Serbia
Still not a fan of this song, and thought the performance was a mess tonight. Only qualifier I don't really understand, but I guess I'm happy theres an ethnic song in the final
4. San Marino
Iconic. Song was obviously a mess, but Jessika sang her heart out and Jeny B is the best new rapper and I can't wait to see all the hit records she'll be making in the future
5. Denmark
Sadly (sarcasm), my stream was being very annoying during this song so I missed it :/ Still don't like the song though
6. Russia
Justice was served. I actually quite enjoyed the song, but the entire performance was a mess along with her vocals.
7. Moldova
The first performance of the night I truly loved. An iconic bop with iconic staging that really deserved to qualify
8. Netherlands
He sells the song very well, but I still don't really understand the staging. Not a surprise it qualified though
9. Australia
Once again no surprise. A generic bop with great vocals that deserved to qualify
10. Georgia
Great vocals, but the song just was too boring to make an impact
11. Poland
I feel like I should be more surprised than I am?? I always root for Poland since I'm a quarter Polish, but the performance should've been livelier, and they just played it WAY too safe with a generic pop song
12. Malta
A great performance with great vocals. Sadly she was lost in comparison to the other female pop songs in the competition
13. Hungary
An iconic performance which makes me appreciate metal music. They're great performers and really brought the stadium alive tonight
14. Latvia
Running order really killed this one. I quite enjoyed it, but it was sandwiched between two of the biggest impact songs, which caused it to be lost
15. Sweden
While I doubt I heard Benjamin's vocals at all during the chorus, I still really enjoyed this one and the performance is just as slick as ever
16. Montenegro
I LOVE a good Balkan ballad. Sadly, this one wasn't as high impact, and I guess Serbia qualifying caused this one to miss out
17. Slovenia
A TRUE BOP!!! We all have known Lea has deserved to qualify this entire time, and I'm SO HAPPY this performance really came to life tonight. The audience got behind her 'technical difficulty' too, and just the entire thing was iconic and I'm SO HAPPY this wasn't underrated/ (But RIP at her drawing first half, I can see her opening the final now)
18. Ukraine
This song really came to life for me tonight. I loved the entire performance, Melovin really improved his annunciation, and it was just a fantastic overall entry. I love the only country remaining with a perfect qualification record (Australia don't count)
