Eurovision 2018 Top 3 National Final Songs

May 6, 2018 by MyMilkshakes
Since Semi Final 1 of Eurovision is in 2 days, I decided to list my 3 favorite songs from national selections that didn't get selected this year!

Also, just a heads up, I have been very busy this semester so I wasn't really able to follow any NFs besides Melfest. I still tried to listen to as many songs as possible, but as almost half of my list is Melfest, that would explain it lol Anyways, I'll have my full top 10 at the bottom!

Lelya by Tayanna

Making my top for the second year in a row is Tayanna! After being robbed last year, I was ecstatic to hear she was coming back, and she did not disappoint. While I prefer I Love You, this song offered a different side to Tayanna, that I still really loved. Leyla is just a super upbeat and catchy song, that I can't help but attempt to sing along with every time. Sadly, she was robbed due to the Melovin fangirls (just like what happened last year) which is very frustrating, but I can't wait for her day to represent Ukraine at Eurovision

Lo Malo by Ana Guerra and Aitana

I still 100% think Tu Cancion was a better choice than this, but Lo Malo is still a BOP!! I initially didn't like this song, as it was Tu Cancion's only competition. However, after OT I realized just how great this song was. The beat is great throughout the song, the chorus is super catchy, and Aitana War is an iconic duo who serves sass the entire 3 minutes. They're both fantastic performers, and I really hope either one or both of them will be asked to represent Spain in the future with a banger!!

Every Single Day by Felix Sandman

While Margaret was initially my favorite to win Melfest, I eventually fell in love with Felix and his song. I just love how simple the song is and how emotive Felix is throughout the song. And while the song may be simple, it's hook is still memorable. His emotion is also felt throughout the song, which I think is why this song stuck out to me so much because of how great Felix performs this song live. Overall, this song is just beautiful and I really wish it was Sweden's representative to Eurovision this year
