The camera pans over the town of Sommerton. It goes through empty streets, then over a school and other streets until panning towards the now barricaded town hall. The camera then cuts to the survivors entering the complex with JJ leading them.
JJ: so here's where we've made base for the apocalypse, we done a big swipe of Sommerton and managed to gather enough supplies to last us all at least 8 months, we have enough bedding from the local bed, bath and beyond for everyone to sleep well. Luckily the local butcher survived and has become the group's chef so don't worry about food either.
Chris: wow you got everyone here huh
Harley: we sure do, just haven't got power yet, still trying to figure that out
Henry: still it's well thought out
JJ: we have Nathaniel to thank for you that, he helped organise it all, I'll take you to him now
The group follow JJ has they continue looking around, Sierra looks over at a group of girls, who of which smiles at Sierra and waves as Sierra waves back and smiles. The group finally get to a room with big wooden doors which JJ starts to open
JJ: let's say hello to the boss
JJ fully opens the doors to see a guy sitting at a big wooden desk as a girl is sat on the side of it with her hair down and a sensual smile on her face
JJ: hey Nathaniel
Nathaniel: JJ, how was the latest supply run, hopefully these weren't the only things you brought back, welcome guys I'm Nathaniel
Henry: Henry, nice to meet you, good place you got here
Nathaniel: thank you, I worked hard to make it happen. Oh I'm sorry where are my manners, this lady here is Tabatha, my gorgeous girlfriend
Tabatha: hi yeah
Tabatha secretly winks at Henry who notices and tries not to react
Nathaniel: so what brings you all the way up here to Sommerton then?
Iris: we were heading north and we got told about this place
JJ: by none other then Mayson
Nathaniel: that girl....continue
Iris: and yeah we just thought mayb....
Henry: maybe we could stay here for a couple of days and just recharge before heading off
Nathaniel: by all means, stay as long as you need, you seem like good people so you are welcome here
Henry: thank you
Henry and Nathaniel exchange a strong hand shake as JJ shows everyone out of the room leaving Nathaniel and Tabatha alone
Nathaniel: now what were we about to get too
Tabatha: I think I know
Tabatha slowly kisses Nathaniel as another knock is heard as Tabatha stops kissing Nathaniel and rolls her eyes
Nathaniel: come in
???: hello Nathaniel, there's a situation downstairs.....shes back and this time caught
Nathaniel: on my way
-End Of Scene-
JJ walks down a corridor with the group following him, he opens a door to a room filled with women of different ages and beds laid out in a military base formation.
JJ: boys and girls sleep in different rooms, just for privacy reasons.
Iris: totally fine by me
Henry: I'll be glad to have some guy time
Chris rolls his eyes
Chris: yeah great...
Sierra, Iris and Tisha head into the room and close the door behind them. They walk over to the three beds that aren't occupied and out their stuff down as some of the girls look over
Iris: well I don't know about you guys but I'm going to go to have a look around, find out where the boys are and maybe get Chris sand Holdyn away from Henry
Tisha: yeah save them from santa himself
Iris: see you in a bit
Iris gets up and walks over the room leaving Sierra and Tisha alone as two random girls walk up to them.
???: hi I'm Jojo, this is Sonia
Sonia: hi
Sonia goes and sits next to Sierra as Jojo sits next to Tisha
Tisha: I'm Tisha and that's Sierra
Jojo: nice to meet ya, so what are you guys doing all the way up here in Sommerton
Tisha: our group thought it would be smarter to head north
Sierra: since walkers probably would be affected by the cold
Jojo: that's smart and seems to be accurate, haven't seen too many walkers since the outbreak started
Sonia starts looking over at Sierra and touches her hair
Sonia: your hair looks so nice
Sierra: thanks
Sonia: how did you managed to keep it so good still during this apocalypse
Sierra: what can I say, walker guts is a good conditioner
The girls laugh as Tisha looks at the other girls
Tisha: so how did you guys get here
Jojo: we were at school when it all started, we hid in the school until most of the walkers around had separated and ran here since it said this was the safe zone in town
Sierra: good thing you made it
Sonia: I know, at least now we have two new friends here
Sonia puts her hand on Sierra's leg as Sierra smiles at her friendly and Sonia smiles back as the girls continue their conversation.
-End of Scene-
JJ is seen walking with Henry, Holdyn and Chris to the boys bedroom as both boys carry their supplies and bedding
Henry: so how long has this place been going since?
JJ: a couple of days after the initial outbreak, people in the town who survived came here as it was the biggest building in town, once the walker number dwindled around the around we started expanding the safe zone because of the amount of people we had.
Henry: well you can tell a lot of MAN power helped get this place built
Chris rolls his eyes
Chris: are you an inclusive community, don't exclude anyone from the walls
JJ: of course not, we let everyone in as long as they are here to thrive together not alone
Chris: glad to hear that after the apocalypse life has become more fair for minorities, ain't that right Henry
Henry: uh huh
Suddenly the radio goes off, Nathaniel is heard
Nathaniel: JJ do you copy over?
JJ: yeah I hear ya, what's up?
Nathaniel: need you in the courtyard, we caught her
JJ: Roger that, on my way
Henry: who did you get
Chris: who do you think!
JJ: looks like we've got a situation, I'll take you to your room after this, follow me
JJ, Henry and Chris walk past their room as they walk over into the courtyard as they see Nathaniel and Tabatha looking over at two men are holding onto Mayson who is trying to get loose from them
Mayson: LET ME GO!
Nathaniel: you really think we're letting you go this time
Chris: MAYSON!
Nathaniel turns to look over at JJ, Chris and Henry as they enter the courtyard
Nathaniel: looks like our buddy Mayson actually has some friends
Chris: don't hurt her
JJ: Chris don't get involved
Nathaniel: I suggest you listen to our JJ, not your place
Henry: he's sorry Nathaniel
Chris glares over at Henry as he turn back to face Nathaniel, JJ and Mayson
Nathaniel: don't worry we're not going to hurt her, I'd never lay a finger on Mayson, we just need to have a chat with her
Mayson: a talk my arse
Nathaniel: watch your mouth Mayson
Chris: she isn't being left in a room on her own with you guys
Nathaniel: why not don't you trust us
Chris: I trust you but I know you don't trust her, I'm staying with her for the talk
Henry: CHRIS!
Nathaniel: no no Henry, if Chris wishes to join us then he is more than welcome
Chris nods over as he walks over to Mayson and hugs her
Mayson: thank you
Chris smiles and nods as they look over at Nathaniel
Nathaniel: right come on then you two follow me, JJ, Harley join us as well
The 5 of the, leave the courtyard as people go back to what they were doing as Tabatha walks back over to Henry and Holdyn
Holdyn: I'll grab mine and Chris' stuff and head to the room, leave you to it
Henry: wanna take my stuff?
Holdyn: she can help you out
Holdyn nods over to Tabatha as he grabs his and Chris' bags and heads inside
Tabatha: looks like you haven't been shown your room yet
Henry: nope
Tabatha: let me take you there, don't want you being left out in the cold now do we
Henry: if that happened I'd need a blanket
Tabatha: or just someone to cuddle
Tabatha winks again as she walks in front of Henry as he follows her back into the hall to find his room. The camera pans over to Iris looking over at Henry and Tabatha in the distance shaking her head.
-End of Scene-
The camera pans back into Nathaniel's office as he enters with Chris and Mayson following as JJ and Harley enter last and close the doors behind them. Nathaniel is seen taking a seat in his chair
Nathaniel: come on you two take a seat, don't be scared
Mayson: scared isn't the word I'd use
Nathaniel: remember where you are Mayson
Chris: can we just get his sorted
Harley: well if you want to go Chris, your more than welcome
Chris gives Harley side eye has he looks back to Nathaniel
Nathaniel: now Mayson, are you gonna tell us why you've been stealing our supplies
Mayson: for myself
Nathaniel: ok, so why not join us here so you can have supplies and not be a thief
Mayson: and live under your control, nah I'm good thanks
JJ: Mayson don't being a brat
Mayson: and you stop being a lick arse, we know that's why you agree with Nathaniel all the time
JJ: you listen here you stupid little bi...
Nathaniel: ALRIGHT! That's enough of that, Harley why don't you and JJ wait outside for a moment
Harley: alright will do, come on JJ
JJ: really Nathaniel?
Nathaniel: yes really now go
JJ rolls his eyes as him and Harley exit the room, Nathaniel takes a deep breath and looks over at Mayson and Chris
Nathaniel: look I don't understand why your not so stubborn about this, we don't want you getting hurt and being in here will protect you
Mayson: from walkers maybe but not the bigger threat
Chris: what bigger threat Mayson?
Mayson: humans!
Chris: Mayson, look I know I don't know the backstory behind all of this but staying here could help you stay safe
Nathaniel: see Mayson, Chris agrees
Chris: and its not like you don't have a voice, I'm sure people will listen to your concerns
Mayson: well if I did stay here, I have one request
Nathaniel: and that is?
Mayson: I get to stay with Chris and his group, if I do something it's with one of them
Nathaniel: urgh, ok fine its that's what it will take then you can stay
Mayson: go, can I go now?
Chris: where are your things?
Mayson: just outside the walls of this place, in a secure building
Nathaniel: why don't you go with Chris and someone else and get your bags
Mayson: not any of your people, one of Chris' people
Chris: Holdyn can come too then, he knows how to use a gun
Nathaniel: alright then, I'll make sure at least we have people watching from high up so your safe from all angles
Mayson: whatever....
Chris: come on then Mayson, let's go before it gets dark
Chris and Mayson exit the room smiling as Nathaniel watching them leave, his smile quickly fades into a growl as he starts squeezing a pencil that eventually break in half
-End of Scene-
Back in the corridor, Henry is following Tabatha as she walks down the corridor the boys bedroom
Tabatha: so you guys have come all the way from California, damn that's long way, you must be tired
Henry: yeah I'm run down but I'm happy that I'm safe
Tabatha: I'm glad to see you safe too
Henry: thanks, so I think I should ask about you and Nathaniel
Tabatha: Nathaniel and me, he likes me and I want to have a comfortable stay here
Henry: so it isn't official
Tabatha: no, just business for me
Henry: ok that's good to know
Tabatha: well I'm glad you know that
They both arrive at the bedroom door as Tabatha turns and smiles at Henry
Tabatha: were here
Henry: thanks, hate the fact I have to share a room but I'll survive
Tabatha: well if you ever want to get away, I have my own room that Nathaniel isn't allowed in, you can join me whenever I want
Henry: why isn't Nathaniel allowed in there
Tabatha: because it's invite only and I only invited you, see ya around
Tabatha blows a kiss as she walks back down the hall as Henry looks on and smirks, he then walks into the room to see Holdyn sitting on a bed reading as other guys are seen folding clothes and organising things. Henry walks over to Holdyn who notices Henry and points over to a bed that Henry sits down on.
Holdyn: you took your time
Henry: well I thought it would be smart to befriend the people here
Holdyn: your eyes weren't befriending certain people
Henry: what do you mean?
Holdyn: Tabatha, I rest my case
Henry: you really going there Holdyn cause last time I checked you and Chris weren't befriending each other
Holdyn: yeah however me and Chris are exclusive to one another, Nathaniel seems to actually like Tabatha and not just in a business way
Henry: you were eavesdropping!
Holdyn: I could hear you easily the walls are paper thin. Look I'm just saying be careful cause we just got here
Suddenly Chris walks in with Mayson
Chris: Holdyn can we borrow you quickly
Henry: mate this is the guys bedroom, she ain't allowed in here and I'm surprised they let you in
Holdyn: what's up Chris?
Chris: we just need to go outside the walls to get Mayson's things she's staying here with us
Henry: and their letting you out there to help her, don't think you'd last
Chris: Henry no one cares so leave your opinion in your arsehole. Holdyn can you come with us
Holdyn: yeah sure, let's grab Iris for extra protection and we will go before it gets dark
Henry: didnt want my help
Chris goes to talk but Holdyn interrupts
Holdyn: we need people that are currently thinking with their actual head not their little one
Holdyn winks and walks out as Mayson and Chris follow him laughing, Henry gets a deep breath and calms himself down as he looks around the room trying to occupy his thoughts.
-End Of Scene-
The camera pans over Chris, Holdyn, Mayson and Iris at the back gate of the safe zone with Nathaniel, JJ and Nicholas are standing next to them.
Nathaniel: so you guys have your weapons back, plus you each have a small knife in case you need it
JJ: and don't worry me and Nicholas will be up the top there looking out for you guys when your on the streets
Iris: thanks guys, so where is your stuff Mayson?
Mayson: its in a gun shop about two blocks away
Nicholas: henmans gun shop?
Mayson: that's the one
Chris: ok so we head over there, get the stuff and run back
Suddenly Jojo and Sonia come running over
Jojo: can we come
Nathaniel: and why would you want to go outside the walls
Sonia: we just want to get out for a while, this place is giving me anxiety
Nathaniel: I'm sorry I can't let you guys go unharmed
Jojo: well then give us weapons to protect ourselves
JJ: why don't you stand with me and Nicholas and watch out from them there
Sonia: URGH Really?
Jojo: yeah sure thing
Sonia: but Jojo I thought you wanted to explore too
Jojo: I do but it's clear their not gonna let us so at least let's look
Nathaniel: that settles it then, Jojo and Sonia you guys help JJ and Nicholas, more eyes up above to help them.
JJ: also take this radio so we can communicate with you on the ground
Holdyn: thanks, however just make sure if we get into trouble and have to hide, your end of the radio stays silent
JJ: will do!
Chris: alright guys let's get a move on, don't wanna get stuck outside in the cold with walkers.
Chris, Iris, Mayson and Holdyn end outside as JJ, Nicholas, Jojo and Sonia start heading up the tower as Nathaniel shuts the back gate.
