When Sheriff Don March is found dead by a single gunshot to the chest, Deputy Penelope Lane is determined to find his killer. But when several citizens of the small town start coming forward, claiming to have committed the crime, it becomes unclear who the true culprit could be.
Unbeknownst to Deputy Lane, all of these suspects have one thing in common- they were each offered $1,000,000 to take the fall for the killer’s crimes. But as the investigation goes on, it soon becomes apparent that this killer’s crimes aren’t limited to murder and that maybe, $1,000,000 isn’t worth the risk.
