Places like Germany (well most of the world really are in the same boat as them) (albeit 1/4 of our population) has 4000 new cases a week, and we have 53,000 in one day
Our culture is so stupid and people think being an individualist means that its okay to do whatever you want, even if it harms other people. People have the mentality of "i never got corona, and i dont know anyone that has!!, to try to justify their selfish behavior..
And its sad, because the people who DO follow the rules have to suffer, and not have regular social interactions, and for many people, not go back to school in a healthy way either.. Thats horrible for everyone but especially elementary schoolers who need normal interaction with other people their age to develop properly
