Tearing up our cities, looting grocery stores with what we already have going on, is making things worse. You can peacefully protest. I understand the anger and I can’t imagine what George Floyd’s family is going through. But please, don’t use his death to rob stores and take cities down. Attacking businesses in America, innocent citizens and policemen needs to stop.
i saw a video of a man trying to defend his store from being looted (admittedly, though, the wrong way) and he got beaten so bad...the video said he was "critically injured" but he looked dead to me when the video zoomed in on him and I never saw an update </3
You’re a cracker too tho. And my race has nothing to do with anything. AustinRules6969 My stance is with George Floyd and his family for justice but I don’t think lives being lost in these riots is acceptable.
I am 100% with protesting and standing up for what you believe in bc something has to change however what is going on isn't a protest its crime :/
Minnesota isn't hurting the police or politicians they are hurting their own community
matthew09 at least i'm not being a dumbass racist and pretending like a storefront matters more than the millions of black lives that have been lost at the hands of this horrible horrible country. your race has a LOT to do with this statement because it's one of privilege and deflects the reality that black ppl have received NO JUSTICE in the history of this country. also deflects how, as nichole98 stated, the vast majority of those looting are not the people protesting
You can’t call me a racist when you just used a racial slur against me. And no you being white yourself does not make it acceptable so don’t use that excuse you jackass. AustinRules6969
NicoleF 1 that guy wasn't a store owner he was just someone trying to agitate and instigate protesters 2 he literally pulled out a SWORD at a mob of people um he was suggesting he was going to kill them all so they acted in self defense against i dont know a fucking SWORD HELLO??
danyyboy67 they're not mutually exclusive
Two things can be bad, burning down and looting small businesses is bad, cops driving into a crowd a protesters is bad.
delete your account and stop being ignorant matthew09 do you think those victims of police brutality could have saved their own lives with a peaceful protests? George Floyd was pretty god damn peaceful when he was on the ground saying he couldn't breathe but they still fucking murdered him. please go take your opinions to the protests and see if you last more than 2 minutes without getting JUMPED you fucking gross white supremacist i dont fuck with you at all anymore you're a horrible person lmao

The protests started out entirely legitimately over what was clearly a murder. Now they have been hijacked by opportunists and petty criminals.
I dont understand why people want to burn down their own communities and rob people of their livelihoods. I saw a video of a disabled black woman crying because they burned down the only grocery store she can get herself to. I saw a cafe burning down, presumably it employs people who will now struggle to feed their families. It isn't going to be easy to get another job in the current climate. I saw people running out of Target with televisions - now we all know that Target can take the hit (they will ultimately pass the costs onto customers) but what about their employees if they decide to close the store over this? And lets not pretend people are stealing televisions to bring social change, they're taking them because they want a new TV.
Ignore the reactions here Matthew you're too sensible for the SJWs on this site who have no real life experience. Their arrogance is palpable and the notion that you're a racist because you speak out against riots and looting defies all common sense. But hey, this is 2020 - everything is racist.
As someone from Minnesota and is very much apart of what is happening. I agree with simplyobsessed

Electric I agree with that and I dont condone looting and reckless behavior which actually ends up being fuel that people like Trump use to excuse police brutality
mathboy9etaco75 Oh I guess the tweet I saw the video from gave false info. Thanks for the update and yeah, even with the false info, the sword thing was still bad, but now...wow...well...wow... o.o
