Alcoholism is a disease

I have a sister whose father was an abusive alcoholic
And she has the same traits as him (alcoholic/violent) and my sister didn鈥檛 even know him just my mother did, she left him when she were a baby
I believe it can be passed down bcuz from experience I鈥檝e witnessed it
