NIGHT TWO:
As the tributes are in a sleep throughout the cornucopia rain begins to pour down. No thunder or lightning is seen or heard, but the rain sweeps through the arena and does not let up until the sun rises the next morning. Most of the tributes were able to seek shelter though. Tiberius slept inside the mouth of the cornucopia. Everyone inside the forest rested in trees with varying amounts of shelter, and the girls from eight and twelve nestled into the side of the hill with just enough shelter to be out of the direct fall of the rain.
DAY THREE:
The sun rises in the east in the hills first. As Tiberius wakes he decides it best to stay inside the cornucopia due to being all alone after the deaths of the other careers. The girls from eight and twelve also fear moving for they have food and water. However, there is movement in the forest.
Solaria and Wiro decide they need to move as they both know there are still several tributes around them in the forest. They decide to head north into the flat marshlands. While the pair from seven see their movement they decide to stay put knowing that they will eventually be able to take them out.
As Solaria and Wiro make it to the flatlands they set up camp and have some of their meal from last night while flaunting themselves at each other.
Meanwhile, back in the forest Alaska can be seen traveling through the forest in search of food. She hasn't eaten much of anything in two days now. She is traveling through the forest when the pair from four notice her presence. Jonah and Isla decide they need to act fast if they don't want her to find them. Jonah readies his trident and Isla grasps her dagger tightly. As Alaska stops just under Isla's tree Jonah launches his trident into Alaska's back. She shrieks out in pain and Isla jumps down onto her. Alaska screams with pleads, and Isla stops in her tracks.
Jonah: Finish her!
Isla: I can't.
Isla begins to cry and Jonah looks at her in a guilty manor before putting Alaska out of her misery by pulling the trident out of her back and slamming it into her head.
*BOOM*
Jonah: It's okay Isla. We need to move though.
Isla is still in tears but composes herself enough to nod in Jonah's direction as they begin moving. Jonah and Isla make their way through the forest and settle for a pair of trees just on the edge of the forest tree line. They set camp and rest for the remainder of the day.
As Tiberius hears the cannon and sees the death claw going into the forest he hopes out loud that it was one of the sevens. Tiberius then grabs a canteen and begins to drink out of it. Unbeknownst to him it was one of the canteens that Velvet had poisoned. However, the berries do not take immediate effect, therefore Tiberius is seen to gulp down the entire canteen before laying back down with his sword at the ready. Over the next couple of hours Tiberius is shown to become in agonizing pain as the berries take effect within his body. He begins to produce diarrhea and then is seen to be vomiting. Although his mentor wanted to send him a medicine to reverse the effects of the poison the game makers forbid it from happening. As the hours went on Tiberius began foaming at the mouth before being seen to have a full blown seizure. Soon after, his cannon sounded.
*BOOM*
Solaria and Wiro jolted at the sudden cannon and saw the death claw reaching inside the cornucopia. They were shocked to realize it had to be the career.
Wiro: We should go now if we want anything from there.
Solaria: Let's get going then!
The pair quickly made their way to the cornucopia. They picked up some food packs, a few canteens, and they each selected some supplies. Solaria was seen to grab the bow and arrow. Viewers were at first confused to see her choice, but she soon showed her accuracy when she shot it at a heron near the water's edge of the cornucopia. Wiro grabbed some daggers and another coil. He stated that they should go ahead and begin wiring it around the cornucopia for the feast. They agreed and gathered their supplies as they began to wire the water's surrounding the cornucopia. Then, the pair from seven came into view, but unseen by Solaria and Wiro. Timber quickly nodded to Oak as she threw her axe at the other pair across the cornucopia's edge. However, she missed and this brought the attention of Solaria. Solaria then readied an arrow in her bow and aimed it at Timber who was now rushing at her. Solaria let the arrow fly and it hit Timber in the shoulder. She winced in pain but did not stop running. Wiro then readied his battery and told Solaria to get out of the waters. As the pair from seven ran at Wiro he winked at them as he turned the battery on and electrocuted the waters and anything and anyone in it. This sent a surge of electricity up Timber's body as she was seen to be electrocuted to death. However, Oak was not in the water at the time of Wiro's attack and missed being electrocuted. Timber's cannon soon rang out and Oak was seen to run into the cornucopia and gather supplies.
*BOOM*
Wiro then took the battery off the wires and he and Solaria ran back to the flatlands watching Oak's moves closely. Oak grabbed some of the canteens and some food before quickly retreating to the forest.
Back in the hills, Jon and Olive rest nearer to the girls from eight and twelve then they thought they were.
Jon: I can't believe we're still alive.
Olive: I hope there's a feast soon. We need supplies.
Jon: There will be I'm sure of it.
Olive: Well we still have some food and water that we collected from the rain fall.
Jon and Olive eat and talk of home while they settle in for the night. They even are seen to laugh a little which is seen to bring joy to the citizens of the capitol.
Everyone soon settled in for the night as an announcement from Game Maker Nathan came over the arena.
Game Maker Nathan: Congratulations tributes on making it to the final nine. Tomorrow morning there will be a feast to commemorate your journey thus far. Each of you will need something if you wish to win. May the odds be ever in your favor!
All tributes begin to settle in to their areas for the night.
