7 cannons ring out into the arena as the bloodbath comes to a close.
Roman: I can't believe they're dead. We were supposed to win. What the hell do we do now?
Tiberius: We win for them Roman. We're still here and we're the favorites. You know we are the strongest ones left. We can do this. Wash up and take a breath. We need to start hunting soon.
Roman: Thanks.
Roman washes up in the water near the cornucopia as Tiberius watches and gathers the supplies they'll need for the day.
Tiberius: I think I saw most of them go to the forest over there.
Roman: How many?
Tiberius: At least five of them. They'll likely take care of themselves. I say we go there, the hills. I saw a couple run that way.
Roman: That sounds like the best plan. We can return here tonight when we get a kill in.
Roman and Tiberius grab a canteen each and a pack of food that contains a beef stick and a loaf of bread. Roman carries a spear and a few throwing knives in his pockets while Tiberius carries a sword and several smaller daggers.
To the north, the tributes from ten and eleven settle into a spot far from the base of the cornucopia.
Buck: So what all do we have?
Jon: I got a pack. It has 3 packs of food. Looks like some bread and about 10 beef sticks. I think this was a really good one.
Olive: I grabbed 3 canteens and this rolled up thing.
Olive begins to unravel it to see a large wool blanket that can easily fit two if not three of the tributes in the group.
Buck: Oh nice. That's gonna come in handy if we don't want to draw attention with a fire.
Fawna: Well I got this pack. It has some matches! Guys if we catch something we can cook it. It also has some beef sticks and I got this knife.
Jon: So we can kill something, start a fire, stay warm, and eat.
Olive: Honestly, I can't believe we made out this good.
Just then, a sponsor gift falls nearby.
Jon: It says "10" on it.
Buck makes his way to the pack and opens it. He sees a fishing net.
Fawna: What? We don't know how to use that?
Olive: But the marshes have to have fish or something in it that we can eat. Why else would we get it?
Jon: We can go hunting tomorrow. Seems best to stake out here. I don't think anyone followed us out here. We would've seen them by now.
Buck: We're in plain sight, but there's enough of us we should be ok. I think we should stay up in pairs just in case someone tries to ambush us.
Olive: That's a good idea. Should we do boys and girls?
Fawna: I'm okay with that.
Jon: Then it's settled. We can take first watch.
As the tributes settle into the ground of the flatlands they eat and drink small portions of their food.
Jonah and Isla run through the forest deep until they can't hear anything other than the squawks of the heron's nearby. They both rest under a dried out cypress tree.
Isla: Here I got you a canteen. I got one as well. Here's a pack it looks like it has about 6 beef sticks and a loaf of bread.
Jonah: Nice. I got the spear. Also here. I snuck this for you.
He pulls out a small dagger and slides it to Isla.
Jonah: It's not much, but it's something.
Isla: Thanks. Do you think we will be okay if we stay in the tree?
Jonah: The sevens are likely coming here so up high will give us leverage. We should be safe up there.
The pair grab their things and make camp in the cypress.
Oak and Timber are the next to arrive in the forest. They stay nearer to the edge in hopes of ambushing tributes.
Timber: What's in the packs?
Oak: Some food, also here's a small blanket. Should keep you warm at night.
Timber: Nice. Didn't the pair from four come this way?
Oak instantly shushes Timber as he sees Flour run into the forest to their west.
Oak: There. The girl from 9 she just went into the forest. I think we could track her down tonight. This is our best area.
Timber: Agreed. Let's just camp out here for right now. The cypress trees are sturdy enough to hold us up. Let's hide.
The tributes begin hiding as the camera pans away to Flour.
Flour slows down as she enters the forest completely out of breath. She crannies herself into some of the cypress roots and covers herself with the mud nearby. She manages to decently cover herself hoping that she did well enough to survive the night.
Wiro and Solaria are the last to arrive into the forest. They manage to enter to the east of the pair from seven and stop far enough south of the pair from four. They take inventory as they catch their breath.
Wiro: Well we have this spear, a knife, and some water and food.
Solaria: I'm so sorry about Luna. She was so sweet throughout this week. What was she like?
Wiro: I didn't know her that well back home. She was younger and so she didn't know too much about the factories in the district, but she was nice. What about Pluto?
Solaria: I knew he was dead from the minute he was reaped. He was too arrogant and not strong enough. It's best that he didn't have to suffer out here.
Wiro: I'm sorry anyways. He was still home.
Solaria and Wiro give each other an awkward hug as they shed a tear.
Solaria: Did we get any food from the packs?
Wiro: There's a loaf and 4 beef sticks in this one. This one has.. oh my gosh.
Solaria: What is it?
Wiro: There's a coil of wire and a battery..
Solaria: Well that's one way to give us the things we need. I can't believe it was that easy.
Wiro: Well for it to be useful we will have to be near water. Eventually we can make it back to the cornucopia and electrocute the water around it.
Solaria: For now we lay low and stay out of the paths of the careers.
In the eastern hills Alaska and Juneau settle into a hill with a small flattop to see the rest of the arena. They rest here while they take in the arena.
Velvet runs into the deeper hills with her knife and pack in hand. She finds a bushy area and hides within them. She takes inventory seeing 3 beef sticks, 2 loafs of bread, and a small dagger.
Velvet: Well it's something
Velvet notices the bushes she is hiding in have small berries on them varying in colors. Velvet remembers the wild razzleberries from training and knows that they are poisonous.
She grabs a handful of them and puts them in the bottom of her pack thinking they may be of use in the future.
Medica is the last to arrive into the hills and she takes cover on the opposite side of the eastern hill. She settles into the rocks sheltered against the hill. She then looks through her pack and sees a loaf of bread and 5 beef sticks. She tries to hide herself in the rocks before resting.
Tiberius and Roman have now made their way into the hills and very quickly see the tributes from six. Instead of making a scene they sneak their way up and without a word Roman takes his spear and throws it into the heart of Juneau.
*BOOM*
Alaska screams and Tiberius tackles her back to the ground, but due to her being near the edge of the flattop she falls off the side and rolls all the way to the bottom before running off into the northern flatlands. Roman and Tiberius make their way after her but Roman forgot to take his spear from Juneau's heart causing Tiberius to run after her alone. Roman makes his way back to the boy as Tiberius trips into a puddle and completely submerges into the water. As he surfaces he is met by a heron pack squawking at him and they peck at him a few times. With one of them taking a chunk out of his right forearm he instead makes his way back to the cornucopia after slaughtering most of the heron's.
Roman makes his way back to the cornucopia as he sees Tiberius in pain. There is a sponsor gift sent down with a "1" on it. Tiberius opens it to see healing cream and applies it to his arm before telling Roman to take watch while he rests.
All tributes begin to settle in to their areas for the night.
The Panem anthem plays followed by the portraits of the fallen for the day.
