the spectre of communismโ. All the powers ๐ of old ๐ด๐ด๐ด Europe ๐๐๐have entered into a holy ๐๐ alliance to exorcise โโ this โฌ spectre: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and Guizot, French ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Radicals and German ๐ฉ๐ช police ๐ฎโโ๏ธ-spies.
Where ๐คท is the party ๐๐๐๐พ in opposition that has not ๐ ๐ ๐ been decried as communistic by its opponents in power ๐๐๐? Where ๐คท is the opposition that has not hurled back โฌ ๏ธ the branding reproach of communism, against the more โ advanced opposition parties ๐๐พ๐พ, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?
Two โโโ things result from this โฌ fact: I. Communism is already acknowledged โ by all European ๐ช๐บ ๐๐๐ powers to be itself a power ๐๐๐. II. It is high ๐๐๐ time โโโ that Communists should openly, in the face ๐ of the whole world ๐๐๐, publish their views ๐ค๐ค๐ค, their aims ๐๐, their tendencies, and meet this โฌ nursery ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ tale of the Spectre ๐ป๐ป of Communism โโ with a manifesto of the party ๐๐๐พ๐พ itself.
To this โฌ end ๐, Communists โโ of various nationalities ๐๐ have assembled in London ๐ฌand sketched โโโ the following manifesto, to be published in the English ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฌ๐ง๐ฌ๐ง, French ๐ฅ๐ฅ, German ๐ฉ๐ช, Italian ๐๐๐, Flemish and Danish languages.
