2 years ago, my father was killed in a terrible car crash. My mom has suffered a lot and started drinking to fight off her sadness. 14 months ago my moms fiancee came into our lives. It was funny because we met at a parking garage. My mom couldn't find a place to park and he moved his car for her. That bonded them and they started chatting for a few minutes. They gave each other their numbers and we went our separate ways. A few days later, my mom said she was meeting this man we met. She came home so happy and I felt so happy. He bought our family a new house and we all moved in together. Me, my mom and younger sister. He is beyond kind and has brought so much love and kindness into our lives. Yesterday on May 22nd, he promised to my mom and they are officially engaged. After going through wicked tough times, our family is now together again and I know no matter what, my dad is always looking over me. I love you dad.
