My first week on my new healthy lifestyle

Dec 17, 2018 by Macda27
Has honestly been great.

I’ve lost 1.9kg (4.2lbs) in dieting alone by making stir fry’s, wraps, toast with either avacado, peanut butter or bananas and other great healthy meals.

Eventually I want to start running in the mornings to speed the process up and get more fit.

3 years ago, I was in a serious sugar addiction (yes that’s a real thing, google it sis) that made me gain weight to the point where I looked slim everywhere but my belly and my chest.

My diet would usually consist of pizza, energy drinks, chocolate, high-calorie pasta. Honestly looking back I cringe at my diet and how much I despised most vegetables as a kid.

I am 17 years old, on the 27th I’ll be 18 years old. My body fat percentage is 28% which is borderline overweight due to poor diet and lack of exercise thanks to years of junk food.

I haven’t felt depressed or anxious since started to eat healthy surprisingly, no quarter-life crisis as I work at a beautiful restaurant beside a river, a vineyard and a large hill with a clock on it, the iconic clock located in my hometown.

The money I earn, half of it goes towards buying my own groceries, lots of veggies, fruits, whole grain bread and wraps, chicken breast and tuna for protein, brown rice and kumara for healthy carbs and a wee treat to keep me sane, while also staying under my calorie limit.

Gaining confidence, slowly dropping off fat as I weigh myself everyday and record it aswell as every single piece of food and every drink I consume and how much I consume.

Counting calories and macro-diet works in my personal opinion, and I do recommend it.

SharonMaItems Weight loss is better than weight gain

And it’s not just the numbers, it’s also a change in the foods I eat and mentally feeling better too
