So for part one of the HOH competition, I had the children take these flat wood block things that are like just thicker than a ruler, but only about 8 inches or so. Then I dumped our dominos on the table. I told the kids that have to hold the stick up with one hand, without their hand touching the table. At random times, like every 10 seconds, they would have to put another domino on their stick. Whoever was the last one standing would win part one.
All three kids ended up with like 13 or so dominos on their stick before we ran out so it became a waiting game. After a few minutes I then made them close their eyes. Avery fell first, and then about a minute later Oliver said "Luke, you are my best friend..." and dropped.
Btw the kids didn't do straight up stacks of dominos, they made 2 stacks each which I though was clever thinking. I didn't tell them trhey could or couldn't do this, they all just did.
For part 2 of the HOH, I wrote all the kids names on the board that had been eliminated and told them they had to write out the boot order. Oliver quickly "gave up", basically wanting to throw because he didn't want to choose between his sister and best friend. So I kept giving them hints until finally Avery got the right boot order and won part 2.
For Part 3, I had asked questions to some of the eliminated kids. Some based on game and some based on random crap. There were 7 questions. The kid who had the most points at the end would be the final HOH. If there was a tie, I had a tie breaker question ready.
Luke and Avery answered all of the first 6 questions the same way and each had 3 points. The final question, they finally answered different and...
AVERY IS THE FINAL HOH!
Avery chose, kind of obviously, to save Oliver and Evict Luke.

In final speeches, neither kid really dominated. They both said how they both deserved to win and said they were okay either way.

Avery was disappointed with the result, however I think she played a great game and the fact that our center is boy heavy doesn't help her.
We do however already have tribes for survivor starting sometime next week!

We do have a new girl starting this week (if she comes, we've been expecting her for a while) so we will fit her in somehow. Also this upcoming week is Avery's last week because she is going back to school in another state so we probably won't get to see her shine this time around.
