We began Big Brother today at my center! The children overwhelmingly wanted to play big brother this time, other than the kids who didn't play survivor being the ones who voted for survivor. I am going to use the same names for the children who were mentioned in survivor before. We have a few new kids since survivor, as well as the kids mentioned before, but not named. Ill point them out below, and tell everyone's ages.
Ally - 9
Amanda - 9
Alexis - 9
Alice - 8 (This is the girl who was voted out from the tribe with all boys)
Avery - 10 (This is Oliver's half sister. She didn't start at the center until July as she was still with her mom until then.)
Adam - 9 (This is the 3rd boot from survivor)
Peter - 7
Jackson - 10
Callie - 9
Zeke - 8 *left before we started*
William - 11 *was not here today)
Connor - 11 *left before we started*
Luke - 9
Oliver - 9
Liam - 9 *was not here today, and won't be here all week*
Ryan - 7 (He moved up from the younger group of children).
The other children mentioned have left the center for whatever reason so they will not be in Big Brother. (The girl with the brain tumor, Nick, and the new kid that was 2nd boot from survivor)
NOW! For the fun part!
For the very first HOH, i wanted it to be on an even playing field. I put 11 yellow and 1 red connect four pieces in a bag. (We had 12 kids here today for the challenge). I had each kid draw a piece from the bag (like they do in a survivor rock draw) and told them not to look at it, and keep it in their hand. Once they all had a piece, i one by one called their names to reveal if they had red or yellow.
After a lot of yellows, the red chip was held by... Luke! (YES OMG, THE SURVIVOR WINNER WON THE RANDOM CHANCE HOH.)
I then told them (because it was naptime for the younger kids so we have to be quiet) that as a twist for the first HOH, Luke must immediately name his two nominees.
So, i made and cut out keys for each of the children with their names on them. I had Luke do the classic style big brother and put the keys in the other that he wanted to call everyone safe, leaving out the other two keys.
At the nomination ceremony, Luke nominated Adam and Zeke. When i told him to say why he did this, he said "I dont really know why i nominated them."
Zeke however had already left for the day, so to make it fair, i decided not to do veto yet. So most likely tomorrow, we will have the veto pick, competition, and POV meeting. Then we will most likely have the vote.
