I am having the kids at work play survivor (They are so excited, as are the other teachers in the room).
I made two hidden immunity idols, an individual immunity necklace, and got bandanas for their buffs!
Now i need ideas for tribe and individual challenges! Some that can be done inside the building (we have literally like a 30 x 15 foot room, MAYBE) that has tables and shelves all over and we have a playground outside with a playset and decent running space. We are also walking to the park tomorrow that has a playground and lots of field space. Any ideas from you guys?
(These are 7 - 11 year old kids. We have like 16 kids playing still, though only like 12 come each day.)
Play the quiet game. See who can stay silent the longest. Not only does it give you quiet time but it also saves you the hassle of actually trying to come up with and set up a complicated challenge. Just tell them it's an endurance competition
omg omg omg omg. Pretty sure most of these can be adjusted for individual immunity and tribe immunity
1. Stand on one leg - last person wins individual immunity or for tribe
2. If you have dice, tell students to roll it and highest sum wins individual immunity (or total sum for tribe)
3. Same thing with cards, pick two (or three or something) cards. Highest sum wins individual immunity.
4. Speaking of cards, give each student 13 cards (one of each number/letter). Shuffle the cards and make sure each deck in the same same order. Tell students to then organize the cards from A-K or something and first person wins immunity
5. First person to run a loop(? or something) wins immunity
6. If it's a hot day, maybe a water challenge. First person/tribe to fill up bucket wins immunity
7. Dice stacking - have rounds and each round have the stack 1 die up on top of each other. If it falls, they're out. Last person wins immunity
8. If you have books at the school, the first person/tribe to transport all the books from one side of the room to the other wins immunity
9. If you have a small basketball, play basketball with the trash can inside the classroom (or trashetball!) First person/team to certain amount of points wins immunity
10. Have a scavenger hunt inside the classroom/outside and/or in the building if permitted
