So I am not sure what the overall reception of Vanuatu as a season or Chris as a winner is here on Tengaged dot com but it seems Reddit is very split about it.
I am quite shocked that the season isn't talked about a lot. I loved it!
Saw many many people saying that Vanuatu has one of the WORST pre-merges ever and I couldn't agree less. It was far from bad and that second tribal with the Dolly blindside was incredible. Then, you also had stories like Rory's that were compelling. The older guys taking out all of the younger guys was also refreshing as hell
As far as winners go, Chris definitely has one of the most interesting stories. If I didn't know he won prior to the season and you told me after episode 1 he would win and maneuver his way to the finale I would say you're crazy.
Chris definitely a "bullshitter up to his ears" as Scout called him but it sure as hell worked although I did think it was rotten what he did to Julie. Her FTC speech to him was so so sad.
The Leann blindside episode is an absolute god tier Survivor episode.
