QUESTION TO PS4 PLAYERS

Just got a PS4 for my Birthday but I have a question.

How crucial is a membership to PSN? Do I NEED it? My friends haven't gotten theirs yet but I still want to play some games (Until Dawn, Spiderman, etc)

if you want to play any type of online game at all you should get the membership

You only need a membership to play online
