Justin Timberlake left *NSYNC, found success, and the whole group disbanded (they do reunion shows but still)

Sting left The Police, found success, and the whole group crumbled

Restless Road & Emblem3 from X Factor US had the same happen thing occur but they didn't find success solo so I guess it doesn't count
