i have autism and its been kinda making my life difficult lately but these negative things make me more scared to "come out" as autistic than to come out as gay to people
You shouldn't actually call anybody autistic. You're meant to say "He has autism" not "He is autistic" and lol the word "retarded" shouldn't ever be used. But regardless, they are pretty lame insults.
I mean, using the words "nigger" or "faggot" or any kind of distinction one might have opposed to another is offensive to someone out there. None of the words used today are from "educated" people. Different things offend different people. That's life.
Autism does not mean slow or dumb @ghrocky litecitrus I work in a group home and I am majoring in psychology with a focus on autism And other developmental conditions and nothing annoys me more on this site then seeing how uneducated people are on this topic. Especially when you work with people with autism everyday and the become like family. Terms like that really hurt their feelings and often they can't defend themselves and peopleake a joke out of it and I find that repulsive.
well you're statement is wrong for 2 reasons, 1 no I wouldn't cuz my mom is dead and 2 I have a good friend who is. I know it. but it doesn't matter. that's like saying there's something wrong with swearing.
