it’s so much different than irl and social media because it’s like a community and everyone pretty much knows everyone. And when you have a falling out with someone you can’t just remove them from your life because you constantly see them on the site. It’s weird constantly seeing people you were once close to now be an enemy/complete stranger, but you still see them blogging/in games
So true! The everyone knows everyone thing results in any issue or drama between two people snowballing and affecting everyone. Years ago when I was more active, people tried to use me to get at others or used others to get at me and I found that very toxic. It is such an easy thing to do, though, because the minute one person is dragged in, it can appear justifiable to drag many others in too.
