Hey Tengaged! As many of you are now aware, randomize has asked myself and Aquamarine to help moderate the website after a long spell of controversies and inappropriate behaviour that has plagued the community for quite a while. I am writing this blog to inform you all of the new rules that will be taking effect this weekend once rando activates the mod panel and installs a few small updates. The point of this blog is to inform you all now, so that everyone is aware and has time to become accustomed to the new rules before they take effect this weekend.
Let me just preface by saying that myself and Aqua will not be taking a hardline, militant stance on moderation, unlike some previous moderators who seemed to want to ban anyone that breathed. Our goal is to simply monitor the community and ensure no one is engaging in any obscenely offensive/inappropriate behaviour or language. As a community, we thrive when there are as many active users as possible, playing games, blogging and competing fairly amongst each other, and so our aim is to ban as few people as possible. This means that Aqua and I will not be banning people willy-nilly because someone is upset that they got voted out of a frookies game, or because someone has been told to go fuck themself. The filter function is your friend and so please utilise it when you come across another user that you are not fond of.
That being said, there are specific circumstances where Aqua and I will have to intervene and issue warnings/bans where appropriate, in order to protect the safety of other users and ensure we foster a tolerant community, devoid of racism, homophobia and other forms of bigotry. These circumstances and their accompanying punishments for a FIRST-TIME offence are detailed below. Repeat offences will result in extended bans, eventually leading to a permanent ban for unremitting offenders.
********** NEW RULES **********
1. Racist, Homophobic and Obscenely Offensive Language:
Any user found using racist, homophobic, transphobic and other obscenely offensive language on the Tengaged platform will receive a 3-day ban without warning. These slurs include the terms n*gger, f*g/f*ggot, tr*nny, etc. Any users posting these words, even with the respective letters starred out (*), will receive an immediate ban (I have used the starred-out terms here for clarity on what is/isn’t allowed). Obscenely offensive language is classified as any of the above, along with death threats or telling another user to kill themself. This is a brief outline of what is considered unacceptable. Each report will be looked at on a case-by-case basis and if we deem obscenely offensive language, slurs or threats to have been used that aren’t covered in this list, we will administer a ban accordingly.
Prior Offences:
Tengaged has not been moderated for a prolonged period of time, and so we will not
be accepting reports of inappropriate slurs that have been used passively on the blogs
page/games over the last few months. Those users that have already been banned have
been done so by randomize himself, not myself or Aqua. Any use of the language
aforementioned once the mod panel goes live this weekend will result in a ban. We
want to be as relaxed as possible, so please don’t feel like you can’t use profanity or
get into a fight. You certainly can. This website wouldn’t be what it is without the
drama. All we are saying is that obvious hate speech/bigotry will not be tolerated.
2. Pedophilia/Inappropriate Behaviour Towards Minors:
Attempting to groom, ask for sexually explicit pictures of, or attempting to engage in any sexually inappropriate behaviour/dialogue with a minor (i.e., a user who is under the age of 18) will result in a permanent ban without warning. These reports will be taken extremely seriously. If you are unsure of a user’s age, ask them. If you do not ask a user’s age before attempting to make an inappropriate pass on them and it comes to light that they are in fact a minor, we will treat this as a lack of responsibility and self-awareness and will administer a ban accordingly.
3. Posting Pornography:
Any user found to be posting pornographic material anywhere on the Tengaged platform will receive a permanent ban without warning. This includes images, GIFs and links to external sites that contain pornographic material.
4. Multis:
We are in contact with randomize and hope to soon have a system for easier detection of multis. Our first priority right now is dealing with the bigotry and pedophilia. However, we will shortly move on to banning users who have been incessantly using multis to cheat over the last few months. This includes users sharing the passwords to their accounts and having other people play on their account for them (I suggest you stop now). So, take this as a very stark warning: we see you, we know who you are, and your time will soon come.
EDIT: As Tengaged has been mod-free for a while and an increased number of users have been cheating/using multis, we will communicate with randomize about giving users the opportunity to purge their multis and keep their one main account.
**********
5. Reporting:
When sending in a report, make sure you detail the exact rule the person you’re accusing is breaking, i.e., any of the above rules we have mentioned, accompanied by sufficient evidence. This evidence should be in the form of a screenshot, and should depict the entire webpage along with the address bar. Reporting can be done by either mailing myself or Aquamarine. We are unsure as of yet whether the new mod panel rando is designing will log reports made by using the “Report” button on profiles/blogs – we shall inform you in due course. If you are a white level and need to report an issue, please e-mail your report to tengagedmoderation@ yahoo.com
Any reports that are found to be falsified (i.e., inspect elemented/forged screenshots) will result in the false accuser receiving a ban equal to the offence which they reported. Again, may I reiterate, please do not send in reports over trivial issues that can be solved by either filtering the user(s) you’re accusing, or growing a thicker skin. May I also remind you that the mod panel will not be active until this weekend, so please do not report anything yet. Randomize will blog to inform us on the weekend when the update has been installed.
6. .es/.br Ambassador:
As some members of the site are from .es/.br, and English might not be their first language, we think it would be a good idea to appoint an ambassador for foreign users who might struggle with the reporting process. This ambassador should preferably be someone who can speak English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently, and someone who would be willing to compile reports from foreign users, translate them into English and forward them to myself or Aqua. This would ensure we can deal with their requests in a timely manner. Feel free to display your interest in the comments or tag any recommendations you might have.
7. Tengaged Council:
In order to provide complete transparency to the Tengaged public on the banning process and the specific reasons for why certain users are being banned, we have created the Tengaged Council group – https://tengaged.com/group/10076-tengaged-council
Feel free to join! We will aim to post explanations for each ban we administer in this group, to ensure we are keeping you guys in the know and to hopefully deter any user who is considering acting in an inappropriate manner. In time, we hope to extend mod privileges and add more people to the council.
8. Special Games, Updates and New Features:
Once the website is being sufficiently moderated and we have dealt with some of the inappropriate behaviour/cheating to a successful degree, we hope to host special community-wide events/games that we can all get involved with, which will hopefully add some more excitement and breathe new life into Tengaged. Rando has also shared interest in possibly developing new games in the future. This can all be achieved once we have the site back on its feet again.
I think that just about covers it! Again, let me reiterate that we are planning on being as relaxed and lenient as we possibly can. We want to work collaboratively with you all to ensure the site is an enjoyable, safe and tolerant platform to play on once again.
Furthermore, this is a new moderation team. Neither I nor Aqua have held this position before, so please give us a chance :)! I know that some users will be hesitant to do so due to the questionable motives/decisions of previous moderation teams, but as I said, this is a fresh take, and so I hope we can earn your trust and respect through listening to your concerns, dealing with your reports as quickly as possible and taking action where appropriate in order to restore a bit of peace and order to the website that we love.
Feel free to comment any questions you might have and me and Aqua will try our best to clarify any of your queries!
now this #5 was not ran by me and I think that users should continue to use the report buttons if it means they get directed to the mod page to avoid getting 100 mails a day but you know!!!

I’m really preaching for rule 4
If you guys can get this done perfectly, you have my gratitude. Because It’s really frustrating working ur ass off in game and got screwed by multis, specially in survivor
This means that Aqua and I will not be banning people willy-nilly because someone is upset that they got voted out of a frookies game, or because someone has been told to go fuck themself.

Can we ban those who are falsely accuse people of being homophobic/racist/grooming as it’s a very big accusation that can change someone’s real life if it got to that extent.
i don't agree with #4 unless you mean to just ban all the multis on the site, but not their main accounts.
everyone has cheated in the non mod era. EVERYONE.
konohavillage1 this is something we are still trying to figure out from Carlos. Some mods could previously do IP checks, some couldn't. So it's a bit of a grey area right now but we know banning cheaters is on rando's agenda. Once we have clarity from him we will let you know :)
i can apply for .BR ambassador, i don't have a complete command of English, but I manage to challenge myself every day to learn more! :)
Anything, I'm here!
jason_2_12 it would be pretty difficult to accuse someone of homophobia/racism without screenshots. That's why we are asking everyone to provide screenshots when they report :)
FighterMan i completely hear you on that one. That's why i said that i suggest anyone who has been/is currently cheating, to stop. It might be the case that users who have made masses of multis get to keep their main accounts, we are unsure as of yet. When rando lets us know, we will let you know :)
I agree with fighterman, in the past just the individual multis were banned unless you were Unkown and Electric who had hundreds of multis.
Unless they of course continue to use the multis, but personally i know myself and many others haven’t logged into the small #s of multi accounts since Rando came back
Smoothstalker12 i completely agree. We will communicate with rando and inform him that many users have been using multis during the no-moderation era. I think it's a good suggestion that, when the system is put in place to run IP checks, we give users the opportunity to purge their multis, keep their 1 singular main account, and bun the multis for good.
aquamarinelexxxy I can’t speak for any updates that may have been made but when I was a mod using the report button did not notify us. Once we removed the blog we could see that it had been reported.
JustMe thanks sue! Rando has told us he is making the mod panel more functional, so maybe it will include some sort of area that logs those reports, who knows. Thanks for the info :)
Also lexxxyaquamarine you should add something about signing in to other users accounts to do their challenges. That has always been a huge problem and if he gives you IP checker you can see the proof when it’s reported.
One more thing lexxxyaquamarine no matter how fair you try to be and how hard you work at making sure you do things right you will be attacked for being unfair. Just keep moving LOL
I think this is a well thought out blog with clear cut and concise rules Lexxxy I still severely question your judgement after seeing your comment on eilish blog
Very well written! Thank you Lexxxy and Aquamarine for agreeing to be the guinea pigs of moderation in an attempt to make this a better place for everyone.

Giving you both the benefit of the doubt.... wishing you both the best
However, expect to be held accountable the second you guys mess up and be ready to be able to adjust and admit wrongdoings or both of you will fail so quick.
Sorry if I can’t read LOL, but regarding offenses like pedophilia, will Skype and Snapchat be used as appropriate evidence? The last admin refused to ban people unless there was evidence directly on tengaged.
