There isn't a modern second coming of Whitney or Mariah (if we do not count Ariana)... Why has the quality of the pop singers lowered down? Why do we have to accept fucking New Rules or fucking Gucci Gang as hits, both released by mediocre singers?

ariana is more of like the new christina aguilera. but yeah no big vocalist with hits are doing it (bar adele but like shes more of a balladeer, whereas mariah and whitney would release upbeat songs every so often)
michelleobama it also sucks that the only time ariana got to sing with one of her idols - christina aguilera, it turned into a sing-off and christina said 'come on ariana' a few times
