*Percy and Genevieve sit at the heads of the table, as Sensor, Alexa Rose, Vexell, Violeta, Cinzi, Light Storm, Ji, Marjorey, Jade, Kitana, Fuerza Mística, Night Woman, Saint, Ithemba, Tlaloc and Eden sit around the table*
Percy - “You all thought… you could just hide this from us? An entire war?”
Cinzi - “In their defense… we thought you’d try to stop us from fighting back.”
Genevieve - “We’d want to protect you and make sure you were fighting smart. Is this why you girls had to make this Mileena-Jekyll plan hidden? Because you were worried we wouldn’t support your actions?”
Kitana - “Yes.”
Percy - “That was rhetorical.”
Kitana - “You were pretty spot on, though. I was impressed.”
Genevieve - “Who found out about this?”
Saint - “I heard about it when I tried meeting with my brother the other day.”
Genevieve - “You met with your brother? Do you guys just do everything behind our backs?”
Saint - “We don’t need to get your permission to leave the building.”
Genevieve - “No, you do not, but you do not have to be manipulative and do important things without informing us. We are apart of the organization and your actions may come back to us. We could open our front doors and get shot in the head because of your actions. We’d like to be prepared for the worst, and knowing whether or not there’s a war afoot… is kind of a big deal. Knowing whether or not there’s a plan to track down and kill Mileena… is kind of a big deal.”
Jade - “Sorry about that. We thought it’d be handled and done with. She has people with her now.”
Percy - “Who?”
Kitana - “Neuron, Disturbia Killer and Green Witch. But… they’re more powerful than ever.”
Marjorey - “The confusing part is… if there’s a war afoot… and they’re protecting Mileena… what does that mean for their side?”
Genevieve - “What do you mean?”
Marjorey - “The X’ers are trying to track and kill Mileena, too… but those 3 tried to PROTECT her. What side are they on?”
*There’s a slight silence*
Genevieve - “I just don’t think we can trust them. But… I guess we don’t have any reason to fight them yet. We need to keep our objectives clear. If we get our motives twisted… it’ll lose us the war. Which means… the city would be in trouble.”
Sensor - “What exactly do you mean?”
Percy - “If we lose the war… and the Protectors are no longer strong…. The X’ers would have all the power… and the city… would be seized.”
[THE PROTECTORS.]
*IN THE X’ERS OFFICE*
*X Caliber and X sit at the heads of the table. Dark Storm, Actus Mortis, Vyx, The Reaper, Europa, Pyrobolt and Poison Kisses sit around the table*
X Caliber - “Let’s review the facts… no body for Mileena was found. Neuron, Disturbia Killer and the Green Witch are M.I.A… this could mean… they have a side team.”
Europa - “Or they got killed.”
Pyrobolt - “We didn’t see them out there.”
The Reaper - “Maybe they had enough of the lies.”
X Caliber - “What was that, Reaper?”
The Reaper - “Nothing.”
X - “Are you calling my dad a liar?”
The Reaper - “Stay out of this, X.”
X - “No-”
X Caliber - “X, stay out of it. I’m the leader. I can handle this.”
*X shrugs, upset*
X Caliber - “I don’t think you should be having implications of my honesty with no reason to believe I’m dishonest.”
The Reaper - “Oh, you want to go down that road?”
X Caliber - “Not really. We have an issue at hand.”
*The Reaper rolls his eyes*
X Caliber - “As much of a priority Mileena is… as she is missing. We may have to move on. And focus on… taking down The Protectors.”
Vyx - “Do we have to, though? Couldn’t we just-“
X Caliber - “You know this is the only way. I’m sorry about your sister, but we’ve put up with them long enough. It’s our time.”
*Dark Storm sighs*
Vyx - “Well… I don’t know-“
Dark Storm - “When me and Vyx were searching for Mileena… we were talking… and the clone girl heard us… and found out about the plan to attack The Protectors.”
*Vyx looks shocked*
X Caliber - “So you’re telling me… they know?”
*Dark Storm nods*
X Caliber - “How stupid could you be?”
Europa - “Clearly very. And yet they’re your favorites. Not me.”
X - “I’m his son… I think I’m his favorite.”
Europa - “He won’t even let you leave the building, champ. You’re Rapunzel.”
Poison Kisses - “I don’t think the fact they know has to be a bad thing.”
Europa - “New girl, what drugs are you on? Because it’s simply OBJECTIVELY bad that they know about our plan.”
Poison Kisses - “Not if we use it to our advantage.”
X Caliber - “What are you suggesting?”
Poison Kisses - “With no sign of Mileena’s body showing up…. The Protectors are just as conflicted as us with who to target. Because they were hunting down Mileena too, right?”
Europa - “Yes, but… what if they found a body?”
Poison Kisses - “After that girl shot Jekyll in the head, she seemed pretty messed up. I doubt they kept looking after that.”
Europa - “But that was only a few Protectors, they have a whole team. Either way, what’s your big plan?”
Poison Kisses - “If they are torn on who to target… we could just sneak attack them. We don’t need Neuron or Green Witch… or Disturbia even… we can do this ourselves.”
The Reaper - “Well… we don’t necessarily have anybody with powers I could resurrect.. But there is always a graveyard. If we need numbers, there’s always dead people.”
Actus Mortis - “But, they won’t have powers.”
The Reaper - “Hundreds of undead soldiers fighting… can beat a group of people with powers.”
Europa - “It just seems like… this is risky.”
Actus Mortis - “I agree.”
The Reaper - “What?”
Actus Mortis - “Raising the dead for starters. That can’t be exactly… safe.”
The Reaper - “Trust me, I know my powers and capabilities.”
Actus Mortis - “Well, that doesn’t change that we don’t know what the Protectors are plotting.”
The Reaper - “Which is why we need to be on the aggressive side. I need to raise the dead. We need the numbers. We need to be prepared. And better yet, we need to be the aggressors.”
Europa - “Let’s storm the place now.”
The Reaper - “No, my undead army-“
Europa - “Do you think this is going to be a one battle type thing? Are you that naive?”
The Reaper - “I just think… we should have an army BEFORE starting the war.”
Vyx - “But if they know… it’s gonna be a matter of who strikes first. Shouldn’t we get the jump?”
The Reaper - “Well, if you want. But, I have to wait until tonight to raise our army. Daytime isn’t… my specialty.”
Dark Storm - “I can go with you. Darkness is my specialty, too.”
The Reaper - “I can’t stop you.”
Vyx - “I don’t think he needs help in raising the dead.”
The Reaper - “It’d be nice.”
*Vyx rolls his eyes*
Europa - “I think a few of us should go to the Protectors organization and take the first shot.”
PyroBolt - “I’ll go!”
Europa - “Literally anybody else?”
Vyx - “I’ll go with you.”
Europa - “So you can protect your sister?”
Actus Mortis - “I’m going.”
X - “I’ll go!”
X Caliber - “No, X. You will not.”
X - “But, dad.”
X Caliber - “You’re not ready yet.”
Poison Kisses - “I’ll stay with you, X. My powers aren’t particularly helpful in this situation anyways.”
X - “Can we at least look for Mileena, dad?”
X Caliber - “Poison Kisses, what do you think?”
Poison Kisses - “I don’t have a problem with that.”
X Caliber - “Okay, you can all head out.”
*IN THE CAR*
*Mileena, Green Witch, Neuron and Disturbia Killer continue driving*
Mileena - “I saw a cabin in the woods. We could be safe there for the time being.”
Green Witch - “The woods is sort of where I excel anyways.”
Neuron - “I can create a forcefield, we don’t need your tree powers.”
Green Witch - “Can’t you just pretend I’m relevant right now?”
Neuron - “I’m not a very good liar.”
*Green Witch rolls her eyes, driving*
Mileena - “Guys, I just want you to know… if you keep me alive. I will be a loyal ally to your side. But we can’t be under X Caliber’s rule anymore.”
Neuron - “I just don’t know. He took me in when I needed him most. It’s hard to ignore that. My parents were killed by the actions of The Protectors. He adopted me. I know he has to be taken down… but, it’s hard to turn on someone… and see them as this monster… when I know the other side of the person… I just… know there’s more to the story.”
Green Witch - “Need we remind you that this was your idea in the first place.”
Neuron - “And I do know, ultimately, what has to be done. But I just think there’s a way to go about it.”
Disturbia Killer - “I’m sorry, but I just think it’s a bit late for negotiations.”
Neuron - “I agree, but-”
Disturbia Killer - “I sense someone nearby.”
Mileena - “Is it Kitana?”
Disturbia Killer - “No… we have to drive faster and get into the woods.”
Mileena - “Why?”
Disturbia Killer - “They aren’t close yet, but they are coming. We can lose them.”
*IN THE CAR DOWN THE STREET*
*Poison Kisses is driving with X in the backseat*
X - “I can handle myself, you know?”
Poison Kisses - “I mean… I don’t, really. Know you, that is. I kind of… am new.”
X - “My father… thinks I’m weak. Or… he says… I’m still growing.”
Poison Kisses - “I’m only 18. You’re how old?”
X - “15.”
Poison Kisses - “Trust me… the next few years… are major for you. I only just found out about mine a few years ago. You won’t need your father at all soon.””
X - “I don’t need him now… he just doesn’t know it yet.”
Poison Kisses - “I don’t think you realize… just how important it is to be able to have… full control over yourself.”
X - “I realize it. I do.”
Poison Kisses - “Just… trust your father. Okay?”
X - “I just think he’s scared of how powerful I am.”
Poison Kisses - “Maybe that’s the case, maybe it isn’t. But, the point is… you need to know.. He is on your side. He’s your dad at the end of the day.”
*X slightly nods, slightly pursing his lips*
Poison Kisses - “I know it sucks now… but when you grow up. You’ll be so powerful. And you’ll be worthy of that power.”
X - “Thanks.”
Poison Kisses - “I mean… I also don’t really know you or your powers… but from the way you describe yourself… I have faith in you. Your confidence is… important. If you see yourself as that powerful, eventually it’ll externalize.”
X - “I can do some damage. It’s frustrating not being able to prove that.”
Poison Kisses - “I’m sure X Caliber just wants what’s best for you. Trust me.”
*X nods*
Poison Kisses - “Huh… does that look like a car?”
*IN THE WOODS*
*Neuron, Mileena, Green Witch and Disturbia Killer run through the trees, mud and leaves, quickly reaching the cabin, and entering it*
Neuron - “Okay…” *she waves her arms around in the air and quickly a dome like force field surrounds the house*
Green Witch - “I could’ve done something along those lines with the trees, but okay.”
Neuron - “Now nobody can bother us. If Kitana or Jade come… or whoever was following us… we’re protected.”
Mileena - “For how long?”
Neuron - “Hypothetically? As long as we need. Literally? I don’t know. I’m pretty new at this, I don’t know how long it’ll be strong for. I don’t see a reason it can’t stay up, though. Let’s talk.”
Mileena - “So… do you guys want to… target the X’ers?”
Disturbia Killer - “The talks of war with The Protectors was getting more serious, so…. It’s the time to do it, right? They can take The Protectors, possibly. But.. if we take this shot… we might be able to give The Protectors the upperhand, and…. Take our shot. And take him down.”
Mileena - “Okay, how about this. You, Green Witch and Disturbia Killer, both can go and do that. Me and Neuron can stay here… waiting for Kitana and Jade, because we damn well know they’re going to come hunting.”
Disturbia Killer - “Okay.”
*Neuron breaks the Forcefield and Disturbia Killer and Green Witch nod and sprint out of the cabin, running into Poison Kisses and X*
Disturbia Killer - “Oh, shit.”
*Neuron looks out the window and notices them and quickly waves her arms around and reforming the forcefield*
X - “Disturbia… Green Witch. What are you doing in here?”
*Poison Kisses looks past them, into the cabin, quickly noticing Mileena*
Poison Kisses - “Is that her?”
*X looks into the cabin and his jaw drops*
X - “Are you holding a fugitive without our knowledge?”
Green Witch - “Please, just… don’t make us do something we all will regret.”
X - “What is your problem? You know how dangerous she is.”
Disturbia Killer - “Do you know how dangerous your father is?”
X - “NEURON, did you tell them this nonsense?”
Neuron - “X, go away.”
X - “I came for the girl. I will only leave with the girl.”
Mileena - “I can take him if you open the force field.”
Neuron - “Nope. I’m not taking the chance.”
Green Witch - “Don’t worry. I got this.” *waves arms around*
*Suddenly a tree branch comes down from above them and grabs onto Poison Kisses, grabbing onto her waist, and not letting go*
Poison Kisses - “What the hell is happening?”
*Grass comes up from the ground and grabs onto both of her feet, preventing her from moving*
X - “It’s Green Witch’s power.. But…” *lifts his arm up and holds his hand above his head and whips it down, and quickly the branch holding Poison Kisses breaks, and she falls to the ground, free* “I know what I’m doing.” *he raises his hand again, and the branch levitates and he flicks his wrist, throwing the branch into the Green Witch, causing her to fall to the ground*
Disturbia Killer - “That’s the thing. We do, too.”
X - “What do you- OW.” *looks down, noticing a snake with its fangs in his ankle. He quickly collapses to the ground*
Green Witch - “Did you kill him?”
Disturbia Killer - “Of course not. That snake releases a venom that only knocks them unconscious for a few hours. Let’s go.” *runs through the trees and the leaves*
Green Witch - “One second.” *stands up and raises her hands above her head, quickly the grass starts growing, and ties themselves around X and Poison Kisses, to trap them when they wake up. When it’s done tying, Green Witch runs with Disturbia Killer, away from the cabin*
Neuron - “We probably have to go before they wake up. X can just teleport free and untie the girl.”
Kitana - “Oh, way ahead of you.”
*Neuron and Mileena look out of the cabin door, and notice Kitana and Jade standing outside of the forcefield*
Kitana - “Open the forcefield. Let me handle her, Neuron. I deserve this. She’s terrorized me my entire life.”
Neuron - “I don’t believe you. Mileena told me the truth.”
Kitana - “That she was the victim? Yeah, sure. She’s pure evil, you know. She was created that way. That’s what she is. A sociopath. A machine. Made to be evil.”
Jade - “Neuron, we don’t need this to be a fight.”
Neuron - “I’m sorry. But I have my own plans. And I need Mileena.”
Jade - “What plans? To fight the Protectors?”
Neuron - “No. To fight WITH the Protectors.”
Kitana - “I can promise you the Protectors want nothing to do with Mileena.”
Neuron - “I don’t care. We are against X Caliber. Just like you guys. If we don’t settle this now… those 2-” *motions head towards Poison Kisses and X* “Will wake up and fight us. “
Jade - “I’m sorry… but we have our own mission. We want her dead.”
*Neuron sighs and throws her hands down, removing the forcefield*
Neuron - “Mileena… run.”
*Kitana and Jade run at Mileena, who has begun sprinting, and quickly Neuron shoots 2 energy bolts at Jade and Kitana, and it shocks them both, they both fall to the ground*
Kitana - “SHIT.” *quickly gets to her feet looking around her, searching for Mileena*
Neuron walks over - “I don’t want to fight.”
Kitana - “Clearly you do.”
*Ice starts to form, and before Neuron notices, she can’t move her feet*
Neuron - “Oh, really?” *she looks down and sees her feet are covered in ice* “Kitana, I feel like you should know better by now.”
*Kitana whips her hair and it slaps Neuron in the face, but Neuron grabs Kitana’s hair and tugs it down, causing Kitana to fall down, as smoke starts to form*
Neuron - “So corny.” *shoots energy from her fingers, towards the ice, breaking the ice, so she can run away, the direction Mileena left*
Kitana, to Jade - “Why didn’t you stop her?”
Jade - “I stopped her from hurting you any more. She could kill us if she wanted to.”
Kitana - “And you let her go.”
*Jade rolls her eyes*
*X wakes up, noticing himself tied up. He rolls his eyes, and quickly closes his eyes. He teleports to right next to where he was sitting, where he stands up, and unties Poison Kisses, shaking her awake*
X - “We gotta go. Fast. They couldn’t have gone far.”
Kitana - “They didn’t.”
*X and Poison Kisses turn to Kitana and Jade*
Jade - “Long time no see.”
Kitana - “I expect you guys were trying to get to Mileena?”
*X slightly nods*
Kitana - “Well, us too. We want her dead. Do you want to work with us? Or are you against us? There’s no in between.”
X - “You’ll help us track her down?”
Kitana - “Yes.”
X - “Then I see no reason not to.”
Kitana - “Under one condition.”
X - “What?”
Kitana - “I get to kill her.”
*X nods*
*ON THE STREETS*
*Europa, PyroBolt, Vyx and Actus Mortis are walking down the street as Violeta, Cinzi, Saint and Vexell walk towards them*
Europa - “They must’ve saw us coming.”
Vyx - “That’s okay.”
PyroBolt - “We can take ‘em. We planned on taking all of them. This is just a handful.” *in his hand he creates a fireball*

Violeta - “I can shoot them from here.”
Cinzi - “We’re the good guys, we don’t shoot on sight.”
Violeta - “It's just a dart gun.”
Vexell - “No need.” *runs towards Europa, Pyrobolt, Vyx and Actus Mortis*

Europa - “That crazy bitch is really running at us. Pyro, go at her.”
*As PyroBolt runs towards Vexell, Vyx notices Saint turning invisible*
Vyx - “Shit.” *runs in the direction he saw Saint disappear*
*Vexell runs up to PyroBolt and jumps up, wrapping her legs around his neck, and quickly doing a somersault above her head before he burns her*
PyroBolt - “You can’t play games like that for too long.”
*PyroBolt extends his hands in front of him, shooting out a fireball, but Vexell does a backflip avoiding the fire and kicks PyroBolt in the face, but before Vexell lands Europa grabs Vexell’s foot and throws her across the street onto the curb*
Vexell - “OW. Shit.”
Europa - “I’m real tired of your shit.”
Saint - “I’m tired of yours, too.”
*Europa turns around and Saint is nowhere to be seen*
Europa - “Your illusion acts don’t scare me.”
*Vyx looks around*
Europa - “Do you know how to find your sister?”
*The sky turns dark, they look up and a rain cloud is forming over them*
Vyx - “Shit.”
Europa - “You better find your sister.”
Vyx - “I can’t find someone I can’t see.”
*It starts raining, and thundering*
Vyx - “Listen, she could just strike us with lightning if she wanted to, I think we should go.”
PyroBolt, holding his jaw, bleeding - “I agree.”

*Actus Mortis grabs Violeta’s wrist*
Actus Mortis, with a maniacal chuckle - “Now… I can-” *starts to turn invisible as Violeta shoots her dart gun into his stomach*
Violeta - “Yeah, I know your power. You’re one of those sucker fellas… But luckily… I learned how to shoot on my own.”
*Actus Mortis passes out, unconscious*
Violeta - “GUYS, LET’S GO. There could be more attacking the building.”
//
*Vexell stands up, as Saint reappears. Cinzi shuts her eyes and opens them again, aiming lasers at Vyx, Europa and PyroBolt, they effectively dodge the laser shot and they start running away*
Violeta - “Guys, this guy is unconscious. Should we just leave him here?”
Vexell - “We could use him as bait?”
Saint - “I don’t think they’d care about losing him.”
Violeta - “Then maybe he could be a number for our side?”
Cinzi - “We could leave him here. He might come to us on his own when he realizes they abandoned him.”
*Violeta nods, as they all start running back towards The Protector building*

*Europa, Vyx and PyroBolt are running away*
Vyx - “Well… that was a bad start to the war.”
Europa - “You’re forgetting something.”
PyroBolt - “Actus Mortis? The person we just left for dead?”
Europa - “No! We have an army coming.”
*IN THE GRAVEYARD*
*The Reaper and Dark Storm stand in the middle of a graveyard. Gravestones all around them*
Dark Storm - “How do you do this?”
The Reaper - “Just watch.” *he raises his hands above his head, as the dark clouds start forming and rain starts pouring*
Dark Storm - “IS THAT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN?”
The Reaper - “It usually does when you’re working with dark magic.”
*Quickly, skeletal hands start popping out of the ground, and the dead bodies start digging themselves out of their holes. Soon enough, every dead person in the graveyard is standing around The Reaper and Dark Storm*
*SILENCE*
The Reaper - “That worked out nice.”
[THE PROTECTORS.]
