What % of your friends are a different race than you, would you say?
According to this report I'm reading, the average white child in the US attends a school which is 80% white whereas the average black child attends a school which is 57% black. In the UK, 50% of white people asked could not even name a non-white friend.
LOL well that average is TOTALLY off for me every school i've been at maybe only ONE has a black average of about 40% or higher and that was the 5th grade..
But right now i can't find the exact percentages but its.

290 "African American" - They can just say Black but they think it'll offend people but not every black person is African..

So yeah theres A LOT of Asians at my school. I tend to think theres more asians thans whites. Like they have OVER populated the school theres so many of them O_O.
And i'm confused on this blog... so is it saying Blacks tend to go to a black school and Whites tend to go to a white school, and in the UK most of them tend to talk to their own race? O_O :( thats sad
Welp for me I grew up with a white friend and then moved and my next 2 best friends were white, then the next was black, and now currently mixed black & white.
And i've had a few asians and hispanics along the way.. I've always gotten along with every race O_O. And most schools I went to were mostly a white school.. especially with my families military background and going to a military school.
As far as I know, there are 3 black students , and 2 Asians. But I live in a small town, so it wouldn't be the same in the city or a more populous area.
My high school was a solid 98& white, but it was in the sticks.
My university's a lot more diverse. A good portion of my friends are white, but I do have some that are a minority race.
i live in New Jersey, which politically speaking is THE most segregated state in terms of school districts in the entire country.
in school I was lucky enough to attend a regional high school and therefore had a multicultural education, but the minute you go to college the rates for minorities etc. drop drastically... so I have a lot of mixed ethnicity friends, but not enough for me to be content
my school is 90%+ white
in my grade it's like
93% white
5% Asian
2% black
we don't have any hispanic/other in my grade :L
and I live in a city
The sad thing is there used to be even a higher % of white people before the school started trying to accept more minorities and offering scholarships and stuff
I have one Asian friend (adopted by a white couple) but the rest are white
Lmfaoooo at the tag. In my core group of friends there are only 2 white people and I think the other whitey is an ass. So I must love non-whites. Lol kid, color means nothin
Honestly im White and when i was in school there was legit like less than 10 black people in the entire school :S but i know black people from my athletics club =S
Jubbzy Tbh, my school is all around the board. We're like 1/4 white, 1/4 black, 1/4 Mexican, and 1/4 Asian. A lot of my friends are white but I definitely have a large amount of non-white friends.
I am caurcasian (english). My best two best male friends are asian (indian) and my other best friend is caurcasian (scottish), my best female friend is asian (chinese) and other best female friend is caurcasian (english).
Irl I've only got like 2 non white friends. The thing is with my school, it's small and it's in like a small community (county) where just about everyone's white. And there's like 3 or 4 nonwhite people in my whole school. #notjoking
I know for a FACT that my school is not 80% white. We have a shitload of Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Bosnians (They INVADE my school. Don't ask why.) If I had to take a guess, I'd say only 1/2 of my school is white, and even then I'm not sure about that. :S
My high school was about 60% black, 20% Hispanic, 10% Asian, 10% white. Most of my friends were black or Asian. Going to college, it's like 70% white, so it was a HUGE transition for me. I was actually quite uncomfortable around white people at first (I'm Asian myself). So, yes, prejudice is a two-way street.
honestly, i've never had any good friends who aren't white, that sounds so racist but i just live in a small town that is almost all white :s

my situation ^
but one of my best friends is hispanic, and i have a really good black friend too...and an 2 asian friends.
besides that i have a couple "friends" that aren't white...but not as good friends as my friends listed above
In high school I attended a primarily hispanic school and 85% of my friends were hispanic.
In college I attend a primarily white university and 95% of my friends are white.
In my school, I barely see any Hispanics. I usually do have 1 in every class. Since I'm Asian, I get along with Asians pretty well, but I',m friends with most white people.. I ride the bus, and the bus mainly has black people in it, I act ghetto all the time around them.
So I'll say my breakdown would be:
Hispanic 5
Black 25
Asian 30
White 40
I went to a school where 93% of students were of Asian background, to say I stuck out like a sore thumbs was an understatement, being the only ginger in my school...
I'm black, and I hang out with about 50% Black 40% White 10% Other. In highschool it might have been more skewed towards the white friends because I was in all honors classes, and that was all that was there in my hometown, but at college I have met plenty awesome people. I really don't discriminate I just hang out with whoever I want.
