I think I'm going to make this a weekly thing, where I just discuss the wonderful show we all know and love.
American Horror Story came back this week, -and up until that point fans have been more so left in the dark as ever. The theme ended up being "My Roanoke Nightmare", confirming the common guess that this season would have something to do with the lost colony of Roanoke.
At the beginning of the episode I was VERY confused. I assumed the documentary/mocumentary format was temporary, maybe for the first part of the episode, but then it became apparent it was not. By the end of the episode I got used to it, and although it isn't the usual AHS format, I'm willing to give it a try.
Let's talk about the cast. I WAS SO FUCKING HAPPY TO SEE LIKY RAVE. I've missed her having actual parts, as she is one of my faves, so this was great. I also love that sarah Paulson is playing the actress of her?... I haven't watched American Crime Story or anything with Cuba for that matter, so I didn't really know who he was. Angela Bassett is obviously PHENOMINAL, and we got a little bit of Kathy Bates, looking as if she plays one of the colonists.
Onto the actual happenings of the episode.
First of all, Cubas character is dumb as fuck. If your wife has been attacked AND there was proof your house was broken into, why are you going against her and staying? It doesn't matter that your dumbass spent all of your money LIVE IN A FUCKING CAR IDK GET THE HELL OUT THOUGH. It's fun watching some of the promos come alive I weird ways, like the nurse cutting the teeth over the cradle. All three of those aspects appeared in the episode.
I am not sure what that creature was in the video, but it was freaking creepy nonetheless. I'm excited to see how Roanoke plays into this season, and which characters the rest of the class play.
Overall, I think the episode achieves what Murphy wanted, and I actually liked it more then the last couple premieres only because it stayed mysterious. It gives us this security blanket that this season will be relatively tame, so I'm excited when they rip that away.
Premiere rating- 8/10 only because it's just opening the story.
Lemme know if you want to be tagged/untagged in my AHS Blogs.

LOL it's all good. Also hashtag your blogs as #AHS6, also I agree with everything you said tbh
I know the only promos I saw come to life (at least in the premiere) were the teeth falling and those straw men who were walking in that field. (those were the dolls that were everywhere in the woods and in their house)
The format sorta spoils the fact that they don't die though, which takes away from the creepiness for me, like I know they don't die so what's to really fear. I'm sorta hoping it turns away from thee format at some point giving a continuation to after the making of the documentary series with Sarah and Cuba etc no longer the actors playing them but involved with their real identities (new characters) as well as the crew of the documentary as the story develops and the cast begin to meet their deadly fates.
