Real Life Family Survivor

Aug 14, 2016 by Jettsmith7
My family and I played a survivor game at our family reunion yesterday and we wrote up the story of the season. It was a pretty intense one, so if you like survivor, I would keep reading.

Cast
BOYS:
Jett
Luke
Tommy
Hyrum
Leland
Cole
Sammy
GIRLS:
Lola
Ashlee
Brooklyn

Week 1: Alliances quickly formed. Jett/Luke made a final 2. Hyrum, Sammy and Tommy were a final 2. Jett, Luke, Sammy and Cole were a final 4. Ashlee, Lola and Brooklyn were a final 3, with Jett as a shaky 4th. Jett, Luke and Brooklyn recreated their alliance from the first season. The girls wanted Leland out, the boys wanted Sammy out, and Jett and Luke had to decide. Luke decided to go with voting out Sammy, much to Jett’s shock as well as the girls, but especially Sammy. The vote tied, and in a tie breaker decided by random.org, Sammy was voted out.

Week 2: The girls were shocked at the blindside of Sammy, but Jett and Luke came up with a lie to tell them, saying that Leland said the girls were voting Jett out. From that point on, things were shaky between alliances. The next set of votes was Boys wanting Cole out, and the Girls wanting Leland out. But, Leland decided to suggest the idea of voting out Jett to throw the girls off of voting out Ashlee—Even though nobody would vote out Ashlee with him and he wanted Jett in the game. When Jett heard about this, his mind was made up: Leland needed to be voted out, and they needed to prove to the girls that they could trust them. It turns out, nobody fell for Leland’s lie and Leland was blindsided.

Week 3: Now it was Tommy and Hyrum who did not trust Jett. But, Jett and Luke once again told the same lie they told the girls. Surprisingly, Cole decided to quit. Everybody was voting him out next anyways.

Week 4: A twist would happen after this week: The 4 voted out players would compete in a tournament to reenter the game. This week, the plan was that the girls were all gonna vote Tommy out, and the Boys were gonna vote Lola out. It would have been a HUGE blindside. Brooklyn, Luke and Jett had an EXTREMELY hard time choosing who to vote out. But just then, as Jett, Brooklyn and Tommy began talking about who was most likely to return, Jett thought of an idea. What if we all vote out Luke as a sacrifice like Ozzy, to then win the challenge and reenter the game? Everybody wanted Luke to still be in the game: And the neither the girls or Jett/Luke wanted Leland or Tommy back, nor the boys and Jett/Luke to have One of the girls or Sammy or Cole come back. Luke was completely in favor of it, and even though Tommy and Hyrum were opposed, Luke was still voted out 6-1

Week 5: In a ping pong tournament, Leland defeated Sammy, then defeated Cole, and in a final match with the score all tied up, Luke managed to win by a hair. Everybody except Hyrum and Tommy were cheering for Luke the whole time, and it made Leland feel bad, so Luke and Jett comforted him as to not make an enemy on the jury. Luke reentered the game with immunity. The girls and Jett decided that it was Hyrum’s time to go, as he had won the game the previous time by sneaking to finals as Jett and Lola’s goat, and having his friends vote for him along with a bitter Brooklyn. And then in a hide-and-go seek challenge, Hyrum was the last to be found, granting him immunity. The vote was now Tommy or Lola. The girls first talked with Luke, and Jett talked with Tommy and Hyrum. The more they thought about it, the more they realized that the girls would NEVER flip on each other, and they had to make a move. Although Jett did not want to, he decided it best to vote Lola out. When Jett reconvened with Brooklyn, she told him that Ashlee and Lola of would be voting Jett out. Jett told her they were voting out Lola, to which Brooklyn immediately protested, saying she can’t because Lola would get too upset. So Jett asked a question he knew the answer to: If me and you are in final 4 with those 2, you are voting me out right? She said yes. So Jett asked her sincerely, why should I not vote Lola out. Brooklyn decided that she was ok with it, but that she would still vote out Jett so the girls still trusted her. Luke went and talked to Jett and proved his loyalty by telling the same story Brooklyn did, no details wrong. Jett knew he did not want votes coming his way, and obviously had damage control to do. So he went over to the girls, who obviously blushed when Jett asked who they were voting. Jett bore a case on why they needed to vote for Tommy. Tommy had 4 jury votes in his pocket if he did not make it with Hyrum. And, Leland, Sammy and Cole would all be mad at Jett-They could beat him later or even in finals. Also, he brought up their alliance from day 1, and how Jett had proved his loyalty in the last few votes, telling them that Lola was out if Luke had not been a sacrifice. The girls were convinced, but Jett and Luke decided to backstab Lola, shocking and hurting her immensely. The real kicker—Brooklyn also voted out Lola, forgetting about her attempt to keep her trust, hurting Lola’s feelings. Not wanting the game to end abruptly or with negativity among the cousins, Jett decided to say that Luke had counted the votes wrong, and probably messed up because Brooklyn would never vote her out. Lola felt a little better, but declined the request to host the rest of the game.

Week 6: It was final 6 and tensions were rising—Ashlee was furious with Jett because of his betrayal and worried of Brooklyn’s trust. At the challenge, Hyrum ended up winning. But during and after the challenge, Leland kept picking on Ashlee and made Ashlee really upset. Ashlee went upstairs and cried for like 15 minutes, so Leland decided to go up and apologize. Brooklyn came downstairs and said Leland was gonna make it up to her by helping her win. And so of course Jett, Luke, Brooklyn, Tommy and Hyrum are like wtf? So when Leland comes downstairs Jett asks “What did you say to her?” “Well I said sorry, and I you know, had to tell them your stategy.” “My strategy? How would YOU know my strategy? What did you tell her?!” “That you were picking the girls off one by one” This of course was not Jett’s strategy, but was one that Luke and Jett told Leland week one and two. “What makes you think its ok to say that? YOU ARE NOT EVEN IN THE GAME” “I don’t care” Even Tommy and Hyrum were disappointed in Leland. So of course, Jett and Brooklyn and Tommy go upstairs to do damage control. Jett asks Ashlee if she has any reason to believe Leland. He asks why would Jett tell Leland in the first place? And, Luke and Brooklyn add, we voted him out—why would he do this unless its to get back at us. Ashlee decided she believes us and was then ok. In the challenge, Hyrum is the winner and Jett, Tommy and Ashlee go upstairs to talk. Jett won’t flip on Luke (or Brooklyn, but they don’t know that). So they decide the 4 boys will vote for Brooklyn and the girls will vote for Luke, just so Ashlee still has Brooklyns jury vote. Ashlee and Tommy said they wanted to vote out Jett and they keep trying to, but then Jett persuades them not to—Even Ashlee’s mom tells her and everybody to vote out Jett. Jett bares his case showing that he will not get the jury votes to win, and voting him out means Luke and Brooklyn will most likely vote for Hyrum, along with Jett. After this, Naturally, Jett goes and tells his allies Luke and Brooklyn of the plan, and then they decide to vote out Tommy. Brooklyn attempts to flip Ashlee to vote Tommy out, pointing out that Ashlee won’t be chosen over Hyrum or Tommy if they have to choose at final 4/3. Brooklyn is convinced that Ashlee is flipping. In a shocking moment at tribal council, the vote is a tie. 3-3 with Tommy and Brooklyn. Ashlee did not flip back. The tie breaker was the 4 voted out players getting to choose, which ended in another tie. When asked to flip, Ashlee was the only one considering it at all. Luke, Brooklyn and Jett told her that she was choosing either Tommy, or a 1/3 chance of her going home. Ashlee decided to not flip, going to rock draw via random.org. Luke made it seem like he would volunteer to lose for them, out of the goodness of his heart. Jett refused, saying Luke deserved it just as much as he and Ashlee. It would be Luke, Ashlee or Jett going home. Random.org chose Ashlee, to which Hyrum, Ashlee, Tommy, Lola and Leland all complained I rigged, even though Tommy has seen me use it before as well as Luke. So, they all voted that we do best 2/3 to prove it was random. Because there was no official host and this was a majority vote, and Jett decided that he wanted to either prove Ashlee that she would still get out, or force Ashlee to choose between honoring the first one or completely losing her integrity, Jett humored them. The next 2 random.orgs picked Jett. Ashlee now had to choose between Jett or herself. Jett warned her that if she stayed in the game, she was not winning. Jett, Brooklyn and Luke, and even Leland agreed that she would NOT get their jury votes if she did not honor the first one. But Tommy and Hyrum pleaded that Jett betrayed them, and that without her, they would be picked off. They also said that Jett agreed to best 2/3 fair and square. Ashlee decided to put winning first and shocked Jett when she decided to stay in the game herself—Sending Luke and Brooklyn into a panick.

Week 7: The final 5. Things were crazy—They had gotten Jett out despite not trying to, while still wanting him out. Tommy ended up beating Luke in the quest for immunity. Surprisingly, Luke and Brooklyn did not talk. Also surpisingly, Ashlee and Brooklyn teamed up. More surprisingly, Luke and Tommy and Hyrum teamed up. They decided to vote out, surprisingly, Brooklyn. Did Ashlee and Brooklyn try to reel Luke in to vote out Hyrum? No. Did they try to get Hyrum and Tommy to vote out Luke—No. Just Tommy. And it sure as heck did not work—Brooklyn was voted out 3-2.

Week 8: They had made it to the final 4—A final 4 nobody was expecting. The challenge was letting the jury decide who to give immunity to. Jett and Brooklyn picked Luke, Leland picked Tommy, and Lola, Cole and Sammy picked Ashlee, ruining the boy’s planned final 3. Ashlee and Luke teamed up to vote out Hyrum, so it was a 2 way tie. The jury decided the tie, and in a 5-0 vote, Hyrum was voted out.

Week 9: They had made it to the final 3—A final 3 in which none of them were allies and they all belonged to different groups in the game, All 3 of them had attempts where people wanted to vote them out, but because they all had won key immunities, they remained in the game and outlasted their parters: Jett, Hyrum and Lola. In a shocking final twist, they had the choice on whether or not they wanted to have a final 3 or 2. They picked 3, and the jury went out for blood. Jett asked Ashlee why ANYBODY should respect her with a vote when she couldn’t even respect herself, or the people that kept her in so long just so she would not get upset. She said she wanted to win. Brooklyn asked Tommy what his biggest move was, and he said voting out Brooklyn forcing Jett and then her to go home. Lola asked all 3 what their biggest lies were. Ashlee said that it was to Brooklyn when she voted her out. Luke said it was either to Sammy or to the girls when they planned to vote Jett out. And Tommy said, he did not really every lie, but he flip flopped a lot, and the biggest one was when he voted out Brooklyn. Hyrum asked Luke what vote each person felt the worst about. Ashlee said Jett, Luke said Lola or Sammy, and Tommy said Sammy. Each Jury member also made a statement if they wished—Jett tried to point out that Jett, Brooklyn and Luke had a final 3 that controlled the whole game, and even though everybody saw them talking alone, even asked about it, nobody ever did anything to stop it, and it was Ashlee’s selfishness and a randomizer that took it away—not a solid alliance, skill, or ability. He also pointed out that Luke had voted for whoever went home every single vote, basically even his own, and that he had won his way back fair and square. Sammy tried to prove Luke was a big meanie and a liar. Brooklyn tried to prove Tommy only got here because of chance games immunities and his 2 goats, and that Ashlee only got here out of pity (yikes). In the end, we thought the jury voted 3-3-2, with Luke getting 3rd. Luke had to break the tie, in which he voted for Tommy. We later realized somebody had voted twice, and when all were asked again, Tommy had still won on a 3-2-2 vote. Afterwards, everybody had forgotten all the grudges they had and ended just in time to get ready for our trampoline sleepover. When Jett interviewed each player, he saw that Ashlee and Tommy both thought Luke deserved the win. Lola still claimed that when Brooklyn told Jett that they were voting Jett out, that it was a lie, and they had planned on voting Tommy the whole time. Lola was always really honest, and there was no reason to lie, so it remains a mystery. Jett had written out a dream hit list. The first person voted out? Tommy. Ashlee later talked with Jett about how she shoulda just voted out Tommy, as Hyrum was next, and then Ashlee woulda won the final jury challenge, going to the end with Luke, and either Brooklyn/Jett, giving her the almost guaranteed win. Verdict: Brooklyn is a savage, Jett will never win, and man I love my family.
