Context: I bought Hamilton (the musical) tickets for myself and my gf (now ex) back in October for a show this month (April). It got canceled bc of RONA and now I can get a refund or credit. The tickets cost me like 400$ in total and it was part of her Birthday gift. After we broke up, I let her keep the tickets so she could go with her sister or something. My thinking was that I would’ve wanted the show to be on the day I bought the tickets and because they were part of the bday package, I would’ve felt like a douche taking them away.
Option 1: “Screw you” and get a full refund.
Option 2: “Nice guys finish last” get the money on credit and let her keep it. So she can watch some other musical in the future.
